Los Angeles is always buzzing with stars, but none shone quite as brightly as Taylor Swift did at the iHeartRadio Music Awards on Sunday night -- or handed out as many hugs.

The 26-year-old pop star nabbed the Best Tour Award days ahead of the show, and night of, she snagged Female Artist of the Year and Album of the year (1989), on top of five additional nominations.

Justin Timberlake presented Swift with the Female Artist award, and he had nothing but glowing things to say about his excited buddy from last year's show.

"I am very happy to be back with all of you in this arena to help honor a great young woman who has accomplished extraordinary things in arenas, in stadiums all around our world," Timberlake said on stage. "From the start, this talented singer, songwriter and performer born in 1989 has been elevating the place of music in our lives. Breaking world records as a recording artist and bringing all types of people together in big and little ways as a touring sensation. She has won over 250 awards to date I don't know how that is mathematically possible."

Justin Bieber has a message for all those hating on his hair.

The 22-year-old heartthrob posted a selfie video to Instagram on Tuesday in defense of his dreadlocks. “Being weird is fun,” he wrote. “If you are not weird, I don’t like you.”

In the video, Bieber impersonates someone who criticized his hair, saying, “Dude, are you gonna do anything with your hair, or are you just going to leave it like that?”

He adds, “Yeah, some girl came up to me and she was like, ‘I love you, Justin, but, like, that’s, like, my least favorite hairstyle of yours.”

The “Sorry” singer faced a lot of criticism for his dreads when he debuted the ‘do at the iHeartRadio Awards earlier this month. One fan even compared the dreads to the fingers of the Grinch.

Adele's 25 is a gift that keeps on giving to the music business, spreading wealth beyond her labels (XL and Columbia/Sony) and publisher (Universal) to retailers, performing rights organizations and, not least, the 16 songwriters and producers who collaborated with her on the album.

The chart below reflects how much each of them has earned from songwriting and producing so far (criteria explained below), using the appropriate standard statutory rates and formulas for sales and interactive and noninteractive streaming, and an estimated hit-song rate of $2.50 per spin for radio airplay. Those rates were applied to U.S. sales of 8 million, such U.S. digital radio noninteractive streaming as iHeartRadio simulcasts (excluding Pandora, which does not report its playlists to Nielsen Music), such U.S. interactive streaming as Spotify, Apple Music and YouTube (only for the single “Hello”) and U.S. radio airplay. All airplay and sales data were supplied by Nielsen Music through the week ending Jan. 28.

Billboard estimates that Adele – who co-wrote each song on the album – and other songwriters have reaped almost $9.6 million in royalties; the songwriters’ publishers combined have taken in nearly $1.9 million. The album’s 13 producers and co-producers (many of whom are also songwriters) shared $3.1 million.

Demi Lovato is definitely not feeling cool for the summer.

The 23-year-old singer took a tumble onstage at the tail-end of her 20-minute set at the Z100 iHeartRadio Jingle Ball in New York City’s Madison Square Garden on Friday night – and boy, was it a big one!

After closing out the set with her hit single “Cool for the Summer” and wishing the crowd a good night, Lovato didn’t see a mic stand lying on the ground behind her. As she turned to go offstage, Lovato instead hit the ground after tripping over the mic stand. Ouch!

There must be a lot of gold and platinum records lining the walls at the Disney Channel. Numerous onetime Disney stars have gone on to successful music careers. Among them: Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato, and Nick Jonas, all of whom are playing this year’s iHeartRadio Jingle Ball at NYC’s Madison Square Garden.

Today, Nicki Minaj celebrates her 33rd birthday and we love her not only for her prowess on the mic and talents as an entertainer in general, but also for the fact that she is not afraid to tell it like it is. Whether she’s throwing a little shade or outright dragging someone for getting out of pocket, Nicki is a woman who will not hesitate to keep it 100 when it comes to her feelings.

To the folks in charge of the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards

After Minaj posted those controversial VMAs tweets, Swift took to the social media outlet to add her two cents as she felt Minaj was specifically addressing her. “I’ve done nothing but love & support you. It’s unlike you to pit women against each other. Maybe one of the men took your slot,” she wrote. Minaj quickly responded to Swift to let her know she was not referring to her. “Huh? U must not be reading my tweets. Didn’t say a word about u. I love u just as much. But u should speak on this.” The pair later made up and performed together at the VMAs.

When Minaj hit the stage to accept her award for Best Hip-Hop Video at the 2015 MTV VMAs, she used her platform to address the beef between her and Miley Cyrus. Cyrus had spoken about Minaj’s critique of the VMAs for overlooking black female artists, saying she didn’t appreciate Minaj’s tone speaking on the issue. Cyrus told the New York Times, “If you do things with an open heart and you come at things with love, you would be heard and I would respect your statement. But I don’t respect your statement because of the anger that came with it.” Minaj obviously wasn’t going to let it slide and called Cyrus out onstage during the show. “And now, back to this b**** that had a lot to say about me the other day in the press,“ Minaj said before uttering the words that will live on in VMA history. "Miley, what’s good?” Cyrus attempted to justify her statements by saying her words were misconstrued by the reporter, but Minaj wasn’t having it. “Don’t play with me b****,” she warned.

On the track “Want Some More” off her Pinkprint album, Minaj was pretty clear about her intentions to throw shade at hatin’ dudes who can’t seem to cope with her success. “I’m in this bitch, I’m getting money/ One minute they hate me then they love me/ Ain’t got nothing for me, these dudes is funny/ That’s why I’m throwing shade like it’s sunny/ Who had Eminem on the first album?/ Who had Kanye saying “She a problem”?/ Who the f**k came in the game made her own column?/ Who made Lil Wayne give ‘em five million?/ Why the f**k I gotta say it, though?/ You n****s don’t know it yet?”

During her performance of the “***Flawless Remix” at the 2014 iHeartRadio Music Festival, the rapper’s music unexpectedly cut out. Minaj politely asked the crew “You guys, is there a problem in the back? ’Cause I can do it acapella,” she said before proceeding to nail her verse sans background music to a delighted crowd. Badass!

Nicki Minaj’s booty baring cover for her “Anaconda” single is an image that launched a thousand memes, and also plenty of criticism. Minaj took the haters

In that same interview with T magazine, Minaj talked about why she thought Miley was out of line tone-policing her comments on the VMA nominations. “The fact that you feel upset about me speaking on something that affects black women makes me feel like you have some big balls. You’re in videos with black men, and you’re bringing out black women on your stages, but you don’t want to know how black women feel about something that’s so important? Come on, you can’t want the good without the bad. If you want to enjoy our culture and our lifestyle, bond with us, dance with us, have fun with us, twerk with us, rap with us, then you should also want to know what affects us, what is bothering us, what we feel is unfair to us. You shouldn’t not want to know that.’’

Miley Cyrus is hosting the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday, August 30, and you may have spotted the promos featuring the provocative performer sticking out her tongue — as usual. Her tongue made its famous appearance at the 2013 MTV VMA, when she performed a medley of songs onstage with Robin Thicke, but she was well known for sticking out her tongue in public even when she was moonlighting as Hannah Montana on the Disney Channel.

Followers of Iggy Azalea’s Instagram account are well used to seeing revealing photos of her figure displayed on her page. However, Azalea seems to have considerably ramped up her efforts in the sex-kitten department of late — in the past few weeks, she’s gone from merely posing in skimpy outfits to showing off all-out nude portraits.

The shots are — relatively — tasteful (enough to conform to Instagram’s “artistic” nudity standards, anyway). But apparently, some fans have been raising eyebrows — or, at the very least, have been confused as to why her account has taken such a sizzling turn.

The “Fancy” singer/rapper has clapped back at the haters in a series of tweets, saying the photos are her latest form of creative release.

As she explained, she doesn’t have full control over her musical output…

She went on to reflect, “If it were up to me I’d be releasing songs at the same rate I post pictures,” and added a note of gratitude for anyone who supports her creative efforts.

It seems she has plenty of those in her corner. Fans responded on Twitter to her comments overwhelmingly on the positive side, sending glowing affirmations — both for her photographs and for her bravery in confessing her struggles with depression and anxiety.

Jason Derulo is back on the market.

The 26-year-old singer and Daphne Joy have broken up, his rep confirms to ET. The couple began dating last November, but the most recent sign of their relationship is an Instagram post from seven weeks ago that the 29-year-old model captioned, "Proud of my babe."

The "Talk Dirty" singer just recently opened up to ET about being "on cloud nine" with his girlfriend.

"I'm so happy right now," he said at last month's iHeartRadio Music Awards. "We're enjoying each other. It's just that simple at this point. We enjoy each other's time. My time's a little better when she's around."

At the time, he revealed that Joy, who previously dated rapper 50 Cent, was inspiring new music -- perhaps, now their split will too.

"Always, always. I'm constantly inspired by my life and things that are going on in my life, so naturally new things are going to bring on some new tunes," he had said.

Spice Girl Mel shared the adorable photo on her Twitter, writing: “Yess @justinbieber your the best [sic]”.

Nothing like ending your weekend with a photo with Bieber, eh?

Justin’s iHeartRadio Awards night was a successful one, as he performed ‘Love Yourself’ and ‘Company’ and picked up the award for Male Artist of the Year.

According to E! News, he said in his speech: “I want to thank my family at home. I really miss my little brother and sister [Jaxon and Jazmyn]. They’re growing up so fast.”

He added: “[Thanks to] God…I’ve experienced some tough times. I think all of us, it’s about just our growth and learning.”

Before the awards, Justin had shown off his new hair on Instagram, sharing a selfie with a caption that summed up how many people felt: “Why”.

Fans were quick to react to the photo, with one commenting: “I DONT KNOW HOW TO FEEL ABOUT THIS”.
