It was Jennifer Lopez’s turn in James Corden’s passenger seat on Carpool Karaoke and both the singing superstar and the talk show host got a little more than they bargained for.
After demanding to know who the most famous person in her phone is, and scrolling through names including Bradley Cooper, Chris Brown, Cristiano Ronaldo and Dwayne Johnson, James found Leonardo DiCaprio’s number and declared: “I’m going to text Leo.” The intrepid host tapped out: “Hey baby, I’m kind of feeling like I need to cut loose, any suggestions? Let me know.”
He signed off the message: “J.Lo (you know, from the block).
After showing Jennifer’s iPhone to the camera to prove the message was real, he hit send. Jen’s response? “I’m going to have to explain this!” What came next was even better, J.Lo’s phone vibrated and the party-loving Oscar winner replied: “You mean tonight Boo Boo, club wise?”

They're both rumoured to be in the running to take over from Daniel Craig as 007, but that didn't stop Idris Elba and Tom Hiddleston BONDing over dinner last week. Idris, 43, and 35-year-old Tom were spotted leaving Anna Wintour's home on Sunday night, after attending the US Vogue editor's pre-Met Gala dinner with Taylor Swift and James Corden. The two actors looked very suave, with Idris wearing a black roll-neck and navy velvet blazer, and Tom in a maroon three-piece suit. It seems both men can pull off James Bond's impeccable style: Idris was definitely channelling 007 in the casino, sipping on a martini (shaken not stirred, of course), while Tom looked more like the British spy in the field. And despite the reports they've been going head-to-head in a bid to become 48-year-old Daniel's successor, the London-born actors shared a joke as they left Anna's house, looking like the best of friends.
Speculation started over the future of James Bond towards the end of last year, when Daniel seemed to confirm he would not be returning following the release of Spectre. Asked by Time Out if he would be reprising the role of James in the next film, Daniel replied: "Now? I'd rather slash my wrists. No, not at the moment. Not at all. That's fine. I'm over it at the moment, we're done. All I want to do is move on."

It’s been six years since we last got a look into the lives of Gavin & Stacey, with the last episode of the brilliant show airing on New Year’s Day in 2010. It seems we’re not the only ones who seriously miss seeing what’s occuring with Gavin, Stacey, Smithy, Pamela, Mick, Nessa, and everyone else, with Smithy himself, James Corden, admitting he’d love to do one last episode.
Yes. Please.
Before we get too excited though, the fate of another episode lies in the timing, with James currently super busy hosting The Late Late Show out in America. Speaking to the Daily Star, he admitted: “I’d love to do another Gavin & Stacey special. It’s just finding the time. My favourite was the last Christmas special.
“Writing that with Ruth for two weeks was just brilliant, so I’d love to do another one. Watch this space.” We will, James.
Luckily, the talkshow host has brought Smithy back for a special Sport Relief sketch on BBC’s iPlayer, in which he announces his plans to run for Fifa president. The clip, which features the likes of José Mourinho and Steven Gerrard, shows Smithy vowing to ‘clean up’ the ‘tarnishing’ image of the footballing world. José actually plays Smithy’s campaign manager in the sketch, saying: “Winston Churchill, Mahatma Gandhi, Nelson Mandela. Three of the most inspirational leaders of our time, but I don’t think any of them could save football like Neil Smith. “Please, Vote Smithy for president, and make him the new ‘special one’.”

We’re unashamedly pretty much obsessed with James Corden’s Carpool Karaoke segment on his Late Late Show, with the host getting everyone from Mariah Carey to Stevie Wonder to help him get to work with their own music. The segment has now become so popular, in fact, that reports are claiming it could follow in Jimmy Fallon’s Lip Sync Battle footsteps and become a TV series in its own right.
Yes. Please.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, James and executive producer (and good pal) Ben Winston are ‘out shopping’ the segment as an original series. Sadly, it’s believed that James won’t host the series if it happens, though he’ll be an executive producer and would most probably make guest appearances.
We’re not entirely convinced Carpool Karaoke will be the same without the one and only James, but we’re willing to give it a go.
A host for the show would be decided after it gets picked up (if it does, which is definitely should). WATCH THIS SPACE. The segment has become a viral sensation, with Adele’s turn in the passenger seat being the most-watched late-night YouTube clip ever.

Over the past year, Late Late Show host James Corden's "Carpool Karaoke" has become a viral video sensation, and now CBS is giving the beloved segment some primetime attention. To celebrate Corden's one-year anniversary as host of the late-night talk show, CBS is airing The Late Late Show Carpool Karaoke Primetime Special on Tuesday, March 29 at 10 p.m. ET/PT. The one-hour event will feature an all-new Carpool Karaoke with global superstar Jennifer Lopez, as well as highlights from past segments, plus Corden's favorite moments from his first year hosting. "I have loved every minute of hosting the Late Late Show. It's been an incredible year," Corden said in a statement. "I look forward to this hour on primetime to look at some of my favorite moments and share a couple of great new ones. I can't wait!" "We're thrilled with the opportunity to introduce a primetime audience to some of the fun we're having every night after midnight," added Rob Crabbe, executive producer of the Late Late Show. "We can't wait to share our big opening number and to see what James and Jennifer Lopez get into as they Carpool Karaoke to work."

Sia joined James Corden for "Carpool Karaoke" on Tuesday, and the cute (and impressively harmonized) ride through Los Angeles was a lot of fun.
Aside from the 40-year-old singer and The Late Late Show host killing it when it came to the actual karaoke part of the segment, Sia also taught us a few important things about herself that many fans might never have known.
1. Why She Always Wears a Face-Covering Wig
"I don't wear this unless there's cameras around," the "Chandelier" artist shared when Corden mentioned how he had once met her face-to face, sans headgear. "I only wear this to try to maintain a modicum of privacy."
Sia also opened up about the inspirations behind the wigs, explaining, "I was a singer already for 10 or 11 years to mediocre success, and I was an alcoholic and a drug addict. I sobered up and decided I didn't want to be an artist anymore because I was starting to get a little bit famous, and it was destabilizing in some ways. So, I thought, 'What doesn't exist in pop music at the moment?' And it was mystery."
So, equal parts privacy and mystery? Yeah, that sounds about right.

James Corden hit the GRAMMYs red carpet thinking that he still had a role in Rihanna's scheduled performance.
The Late Late Show host dished about what he knew about the 27-year-old pop star's cancellation, and revealed what part he was to play in the performance. "A couple of weeks ago, I got asked if I would introduce Rihanna on the [GRAMMYs]," Corden explained on Monday night after the awards ceremony. "I get this phone call saying Rihanna has this big thing planned for her song 'Kiss It Better' and she's doing like a whole '80s talk show thing and it's going to be really cool. What she wants you to do is be like an '80s talk show host and I'd have funny glasses and I'd introduce Rihanna. She'd come out and do a song and then at the end, she'd come and sit with me, like it was it's own talk show which they called As It Lays." "We hope you feel better, Rihanna. We really do," Corden said to camera. "Get well soon." Rihanna's rep confirmed with ET that the singer had to cancel her performance last minute due to an illness. "Based on Rihanna's examination after GRAMMY rehearsals today, Rihanna's doctor put her on vocal rest for 48 hours because she was at risk of hemorrhaging her vocal chords," the rep said in a statement. "The antibiotics she has been on for three days did not kill the infection adequately, therefore she cannot perform safely."

(Photo: Instagram / @teallovesyou) Adele couldn’t have been more modest when she played to a sold out crowd at at a pre-Grammy event at The Wiltern in Los Angeles Friday night. Even playing the small, historic venue that only seats 1,850 was a nicety for the superstar. Her album 25 sold more than 3 million copies in a week and in August she’s booked six dates at the Staples Center. Wearing a simple black dress, she humbly took the stage after being introduced by her Carpool Karaoke buddy and The Late Late Show host James Corden. She opened with “Hello” and spent the night telling silly stories about how differently she looks from the first time she played at The Wiltern in 2009, freaking out at Disneyland on Thursday when her favorite character (Belle from Beauty and the Beast) talked to her son and even singing happy birthday to a fan. She also said that it was her idea to keep the night’s ticket prices low; she wanted to charge less than the $50 cost.
While many of the British singer’s songs are depressing tales of heartache, her giddy and lively disposition prevailed, leaving the audience feeling upbeat. The 16-song set included picks from her three albums, 19, 21, and 25, a mixture of hits and lessor-known tracks, but all were well received. After playing the first few songs with her full band, she stripped things down for “Million Years Ago” and “Send My Love,” playing with just the string instruments. The audience was excited to hear “Chasing Pavements,” the second single from her debut and her first Top 40 hit. When playing “Hello” for the second time of the night, she asked the crowd to takeover and they did, singing nearly the entire record, lyric for lyric. During the serenade, the pop star gushed and happily paced across the stage, saying, “That was f******* amazing.”

It has been more than two years since their split but former couple Ariana Grande and Nathan Sykes have somewhat reunited. The Wanted singer has enlisted his ex-girlfriend's vocals for the remix of his latest single Over And Over Again, marking the second time they have shared the microphone.
Fans suspected the collaboration after the musicians began dropping clues and lyrics via social media with the hashtag #OverAndOverAgain before the news was confirmed. Addressing the remix, Sykes said: "I can't wait for everyone to hear the new version of Over And Over Again. It's such a special song to me and I'm delighted that I'm able to share this with not only a friend of mine but also somebody who is incredibly talented." Following a performance on The X Factor, the original version reached number eight in the UK charts and serves as the follow-up to Sykes's debut solo single, Kiss Me Quick. The former boy band singer is also expected to perform the single on The Late Late Show With James Corden on 2 February. The track will feature on Sykes's untitled debut solo album, which already boasts writing credits from the likes of Babyface, Diane Warren and Harmony Samuels.

It looks like James Corden’s Carpool Karaoke will continue to go from strength-to-strength in 2016, with the Late Late Show host already recruiting Adele to help him drive to work.
Talk about getting the year off to a spectacular start, eh? In a teaser clip for the upcoming Carpool Karaoke, James rings Adele to ask for her help, brilliantly quoting her ‘Hello’ lyrics in the process. Amazing. The rest of the teaser shows the two singing their hearts out to her latest single and ‘Rolling In The Deep’. Copyright [YouTube/The Late Late Show]
The two also discuss Adele’s hairdo after James compliments her gorgeous new bob. Adele tells James: “I can’t work out if I should wear a wig wig or have a weave.” He then replies: “I mean, what I like is that you’re coming to me for this advice.” The singer joins an impressive list of stars who have taken part in this segment on The Late Late Show, including One Direction, Justin Bieber (twice), Mariah Carey and Stevie Wonder, to name just a few. Adele’s Carpool Karaoke airs on Wednesday - and it’s safe to say we cannot WAIT to watch!

Squashed Liam, Harry And Louis
With it being the last official time we will see the four boys together as they embark on their 2016 break, fans were left chuffed to bits at how fun, light-hearted and ruddy hilarious the thirteen-minute clip is.
They. Are. US.
Yet again, One Direction show their protective side when they practically scream at stunned fans driving by them to drive safely and keep their hands on the wheel.

Hang on a minute, after One Direction gave their last performance before their break on The X Factor on Sunday, we were all so busy drowning in our tears that we forgot one very important fact:
WE STILL HAVE THE BOYS’ CARPOOL KARAOKE WITH JAMES CORDEN TO COME.
It’s so much nicer to have something to look forward to now, a bit like finding a forgotten Christmas present on December 27th.
The first clip showed the boys all piling into James’ car; so far so good. And there was even a special surprise of Niall Horan nabbing the front seat:
Speaking to the band, James can be seen saying: “I think we could now, as a gift for your fans, make a video for no control with choreography.”
The third clip, posted last night, sees the boys at their finest - with Liam bickering about having a hot bum from the seat warmer, Harry saying that he needs to go for a wee, and Niall asking for food.
These kids; you just can’t take them anywhere.
We can’t wait to watch the full thing tonight!

Hooray! Just when we thought we’d seen the last of One Direction before their 18 month hiatus, they’ve given us one last early Christmas present in the form of ‘Carpool Karaoke’ with James Cordon! Awww, it’s so great to get one last glimpse of them together.
America’s teens have traditionally swooned over muscled young men in tight t-shirts and leather jackets. From Danny Zuko to Zac Efron, sartorial prowess isn’t what lands a dude the cover of Tiger Beat (or Teen Vogue, depending on your generation). Harry Styles, however, is redefining what a teenage heartthrob looks like. And he’s doing so by wearing the most talked about women’s collection of the year.
