Kingfisher calendar has featured some of the hottest models, but did you know a few of our B’wood divas started off their careers as Kingfisher models?

While Deepika Padukone might have wowed you opposite SRK in Om Shanti Om, the actress appeared in the 2006 Kingfisher Calendar, after which she shot to fame.

Similarly Katrina Kaif posed for the 2003 edition, which was shot in Mauritius.


The Kingfisher Calendar has been a lunch pad not just for Katrina and Deepika, but to a lot of other stars too.

Esha Gupta Following Nargis’ footsteps, Esha also went topless for the Kingfisher Calendar in 2010. It was after this sizzling photo-shoot that Esha made her B’wood debut with Jannat.

Katrina Kaif While Katrina was shooting for her debut film Boom in India, she also debuted on the coveted Kingfisher Calendar in 2003.

Lisa Haydon Lisa showed off her hot body in the 2011 edition, as she posed in a nude coloured bikini.

Nargis Fakhri B’wood bombshell Nargis Fakhri went bold and beautiful on the Calendar and posed topless in 2009.

Yana Gupta Yana grabbed eyeballs with the 2003 edition of the Kingfisher Calendar. It was after this that Yana became a much-wanted item girl in B’wood.

RGV’s Twitter timeline is filled with the controversies he has created! The recent ongoing issue of Vijay Mallya controversy is the director’s latest target. Ram Gopal Varma recently tweeted some suggestions on how Mr Mallya can pay off his several debts that he owes to several Indian banks.

He tweeted, “I think Vijay Mallya should dip into his personal bank and give one bikini beauty each to every bank he owes and square off all his debts.” RGV further added, “If the money he borrowed is what created properties of his bikini clad girls, wouldn’t they be enough payback for the bankers? Just asking”


The filmmaker didn’t stop at this. He went a step ahead and aimed personal attacks by taking names of former Kingfisher models and leading B-town beauties. “I think Mallya’s calendar girls Deepika Padukone, Nargis Faqri, Esha Gupta, Katrina kaif etc etc contributed to the bankers being swayed,” he tweeted. “And am sure that the bikini beauties of Vijay Mallya were a huge part of the security for the banks and hence the bankers can’t complain” and “I think Vijay Mallya should dip into his personal bank and give one bikini beauty each to every bank he owes and square off all his debts,” RGV finally concluded.

Looks like, RGV is seriously losing the plot with embroiling himself in yet another controversy. Surely, the director can do with a lesson or two on how to not degrade a female.

In case you missed it, Zayn Malik AKA ZAYN has been busy filming a new music video, rumoured to be for ‘iTs YoU’, this week, heading up to Miles Platting in Greater Manchester for the shoot.

A spokesperson has, according to the MailOnline, said that Zayn’s ‘up-bringing and roots’ are the inspiration behind the new video, hence his trip up North.

He’s just a chip off the old block, isn’t he? Ahem.


Sadly though, any fans wanting to know if he’s a pie and chips man or a great lover of the traditional fish and chips with a smothering of vinegar will be disappointed to know Zayn’s order is being kept well under wraps.
