When it came to fashion, 2019 was a year that well and truly saw the decade out with a bang.

With boundaries never more flexible, and skin never more exposed, it may be fair to label the year fashion’s most risqué yet as outrageously revealing trends stepped off the catwalk and into everyday life.

In a decade that saw the rise of the #metoo movement, the increase in voices of marginalised women thanks to social media, and fight to maintain women’s equality, it’s perhaps no surprise that the decade’s final year reflected that with daring trends that shed fabric and flashed skin in a bold display.

Put it down to the rise of the influencer, or the decline of the patriarchy, but people everywhere were more comfortable than ever baring plenty of skin, and leaving virtually nothing to the imagination.

Kicking off the list has to be the clothing-free festival trend that turned the world’s most adhesive craft item into a fashion statement.

It is of course.... the glitterboob trend.

Glitterboobs

A creature that first reared its head in 2017, the glitterboob is included this year for sticking around so decisively, and arguably peaking in 2019.

The look became synonymous with festival wear after it burst into Glastonbury leaving eyebrows-raised and pearls clutched in its wake.

The brainchild of artist Sophie Tea, the trend involves covering the nipples with pasties and decorating the exposed breast with glitter, rhinestones, anything that falls to hand, really.

Still going strong as we sashay into the new decade, the glitterboob was more than a fashion statement, it was a reclamation of female anatomy as part of the #freethenipple movement rocked social media platforms across the decade.

The see-through/ naked dress

An absolute staple of 2019 fashion, the naked dress was born and took its first steps in the early years of the decade, but 2019 saw it unfurl its wings and fly.

From the barely-opaque, to mesh, to artful cut-outs, and strategically-placed detailing, the naked dress was elevated to star status when it hit red carpets, barely covering some very famous figures.

This year, however, the look hit the mainstream with online retailers selling out of affordable, every-day options and redefining what is acceptable for everyday wear.

Perhaps the most famous everyday version this year was Oh Polly’s white see-through corset dress that flew off the proverbial shelf.

Barely-bikinis

This year saw bikinis tinier than we could have imagined, with naked plastic string version taking out top spot in our books.

This particular bikini is literally a pencil-sized stip of material held together with plastic strings giving the illusion of near-nudity.

Think those awkward g-strings that spray tan places make you wear, but smaller and fitted.

Other standouts were the bathers so high-cut they were rather unfortunately but accurately nicknamed ‘fanny floss’ online due to the logic-defying coverage available for intimate areas.

And highly commended goes to the ‘child-sized’ micro bikinis that skimped on coverage leaving plenty of underboob exposed.

Naked wedding dress

Perhaps the boldest move this year was reimagining the most traditional of dresses, the wedding dress.

Raising eyebrows galore was the new spin on the wedding dress, the naked wedding dress.

Mainly coming from the floaty designs of New York-based fashion house Berta, the newest trend seems to stick firmly to the less is more mindset, and showcases intricate detailing on a completely sheer base layer.

Assless chaps

A flash in the pan, but one that left a lasting impression, the assless chaps were a festival look that had onlookers well... looking.

Cropping up initially at Coachella on the likes of James Charles and making a cheeky appearance at Splendour in the Grass, the look left wearers’ asses exposed, needless to say creating a rather bold effect.

The sideflank

Giving the nude wedding gown’s a run for their money, the in-your-face sideflank hit the mainstream this year raising eyebrows and questions about the underwear, or lack therof, involved.

Typically executed with an evening gown, the sideflank features one or two splits in the skirt of the dress that ride so high, they typically expose the entire thigh, and hip bone.

Kendall Jenner showed everyone how to work it with not much material covering her legs at the 2019 Vanity Fair Oscars after-party, and other celebs like JLo and Tammy Hembrow gave the trend their own spins.

Variations of the trend include the cut-out pant which was popularised by 2019 teen show Euphoria and sparked a string of copycat looks that left a lot exposed.

Last month it was reported that Kendall Jenner had ranted to her famous sisters about Harry Styles having an unpleasant body odour in an upcoming episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians.

The Daily Star published a report that claimed Kendall was fed-up with the One Direction star’s stench, which apparently went “beyond BO”, with the tabloid claiming that footage saw Kendall explain she’d “begged” the star to “shower more”, even quipping “a little deodorant never hurts”.

Now the publication has issued an official apology to Harry for the false report, removing the original story and saying that it is sorry for the wholly inaccurate article that was written back on February 21st.

The official statement reads: “In an article published on February 21 we said that Kendall Jenner had accused Harry Styles of having ‘breathtaking’ body odour that goes 'beyond BO’ and had 'asked him to shower more’ on an upcoming episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians.

"We have been advised that this was not true and we are happy to set the record straight.”

All we have to say is that we ruddy knew it, we mean, Harry clearly smells of freshly cut grass, cookies baking in the oven, a bouquet of roses, and a whole load of other delightful things - and most definitely not BO.

Kim, Kourtney and Khloe Kardashian are being sued for more than $180million after being hit with a lawsuit from investment firm Hillair Capital Management over their make-up line, Kardashian beauty.

Eek, this does not sound good.

According to court documents obtained by Radar Online, Hillair aren’t happy with the trio and are suing them for breach of contract, deceit and negligent misrepresentation after the company agreed to invest over $10million to save the struggling beauty line in July 2014.


The court documents claim that Hillair “agreed to put up millions of dollars to help the Kardashians salvage their struggling Kardashian Beauty makeup line” back in 2014 after their former distributor, Boldface, went under due to financial troubles.

The 20-year-old admitted that while her older sister Kim Kardashian isn't a fan of bodyart, she herself is a fan of the edgy look.

"Even though Kim always says, 'Don't put a bumper sticker on a Bentley,' I really like tattoos," she wrote in the post titled Tatted Up. "Right now I have two: they're both in white ink on my two middle fingers."

Kendall then explained why she chose to get the inkings done, revealing the meaning behind each one. "The one on my right hand is a full heart to represent an angel and my left is a broken heart – kind of like the devil side," she admitted.

The star then confessed she wasn't the only one to go for the heart-shaped design, revealing that close friend Hailey Baldwin has the same tattoo, "but hers is red".


At the moment it seems that Kendall will be sticking to two inkings – but she admitted that she "definitely" plans on expanding her collection of body art in the future.

"I definitely want more eventually, I just don't know what I would get right now," she said. "I don't have anything in mind. You'll just have to wait and see!"

Tattoo artist JonBoy, who created the star's artwork, has previously revealed that Kendall kept her career as a model at the forefront of her mind when she initially went for the designs. "She didn't want it to show with modelling and all that," he told Refinery29 in August.

Khloe Kardashian has admitted that when her ex-husband Lamar Odom suffered a near fatal overdose last year, she banned her step-father Caitlyn Jenner from visiting the NBA star in hospital.


We bet Caitlyn was devastated.

Caitlyn, formerly known as Bruce Jenner, came out as transgender and transitioned last year, with the 66-year-old being close to Lamar when he was married to Khloe a few years back.

However, Khloe was concerned that seeing Caitlyn might have been confusing for Lamar whilst he was vulnerable in hospital as he wasn’t aware that she had transitioned at the time.


Speaking in an upcoming episode of Kocktails With Khloe, the reality star shared: “When he [Lamar] had his accident and he was in the hospital, Caitlyn was like, ‘I want to come and see Lamar.’ Lamar did not know about Caitlyn at that time. 

"Lamar was in a coma and Lamar was in a hospital for four months and I kept Lamar very sheltered. During that time was when Caitlyn was transitioning, but also, prior to Lamar’s accident, Lamar was not in the best state.

"I wasn’t there to see him, but I can’t guarantee you he was watching television was my point.

"So, when Caitlyn wanted to come and visit Lamar for the first time was in the hospital, I wanted to respect Caitlyn being Caitlyn, but I also was like… [I didn’t want her there]”

The admission comes after Khlo hinted that she feels “helpless” after her estranged husband was pictured drinking in a Los Angeles bar over the weekend.

Taking to her Twitter account soon after the photos appeared online Khloe wrote: “I hate this feeling… Helpless.”

We hope that Lamar continues to get the help that he needs to make a full recovery.

Turns out, Kylie Jenner's sporty side is also sexy.

In a new ad for Puma, the 18-year-old reality star shows off her fit physique   in a pair of tiny shorts and a sports bra. "Flex your fierce side," she said of the image.


In February, Kylie reportedly signed a seven-figure deal to model for the brand's Spring/Summer women's training campaign, out April 1, despite her brother-in-law, Kanye West, insisting that she was not interested in the job. "1000% there will never be a Kylie Puma anything," he tweeted a few days prior to Puma's announcement. "That's on my family! 1000% Kylie is on Yeezy team!!!"

West works with Puma's competitor, Adidas.

Scott Disick has a tense moment with Caitlyn Jenner on this week's I Am Cait.

The reality star joins the former Olympian and her friends for dinner, where he candidly admits to missteps during his relationship with estranged partner, Kourtney Kardashian.


"It's been very tough," the 32-year-old tells author Jenny Boylan during dinner of his tumultuous split from the mother of his children last year. "I've made a lot of decisions that weren't great."

"I don't know," Scott responds when asked if he believes he and Kourtney will get back together. "I have absolutely no control over anybody else other than myself."


Although Scott is really able to open up, there's an awkward feeling during the dinner that Caitlyn may be ignoring him. Things got a little uncomfortable when the former Keeping Up With the Kardashians star tries to confront Caitlyn about it, saying, "I haven't talked to you all night."

Khloe Kardashian has revealed that she planned to attempt IVF to save her doomed marriage to Lamar Odom.

The Kardashian says how she thought that a baby ‘would fix things’ between her and her husband after they had hit a rocky patch in their relationship.


After struggling to conceive naturally, the 31-year-old says how she planned to undergo IVF treatment to help her in falling pregnant.

Speaking candidly as ever on her show Kocktails With Khloe, the reality star revealed:

“At the time, I was like , ‘Oh, I have to have a baby!’” that’s all I wanted at the time, and I thought it would maybe fix the situation [with Odom], so I’m also happy it didn’t happen because I was young. I was 27, and I thought, 'A baby will fix this,’ and it’s not going to fix that.“


Despite the split, Khloe and Lamar still spend time together and have been particularly close following his drugs collapse and subsequent stint in rehab at the end of last year.

Khloe Kardashian is set to make one of her biggest fan’s dreams come true after vowing to take one of her followers to prom because she never got to attend the high school rite of passage herself.

The 31-year-old is holding a competition on her app, which fans pay a subscription fee to access.

Writing on her blog ‘Khloe With AK’, the excited star shared: “I’m so excited to announce that, this year, I’m going to create a dope prom memory with one of my Los Angeles County-based app subscribers!

"On the night of the big event, I will personally pick you (or you and your date) up in style and drop you off at your PROM!!! Because you know the best stuff goes down on the way to the party!

We can’t think of a better way to rock up to your high school prom than with Khloe Kardashian, to be honest.

Just when excitement over Justin Bieber's "feels"-inducing Instagram throwback pic was starting to die down, the singer's ex, Selena Gomez, showed up to support him at his Los Angeles concert on Wednesday. An eyewitness told ET the singer looked "gorgeous and happy" at Bieber's Purpose show.


The Staples Center's official Twitter account announced that Gomez -- along with Kanye West, Tori Kelly, and a few members of the Kardashian-Jenner clan -- was attending the third night of the Biebs' L.A. concerts, but they certainly knew which name to list first to whip fans into a frenzy.

Eventually, a couple of lucky fans spotted Gomez watching the show from the safety of the sound booth, but she moved around the whole concert.


Earlier this week, Bieber teased Jelena fans with throwback pic of the two sharing a smooch, captioning it simply "Feels."

The burlesque dancer wed the Beautiful People rocker in a lavish ceremony at Gurteen Castle, Ireland, in 2005 but they split just over a year later and now the 43-year-old star has admitted she had reservations about going through with the ceremony.

AlDub, or known separately as Alden Richards and Maine "Yaya Dub" Mendoza, achieved new-found fame through the segment "Juan For All For Juan" of their show, "Eat Bulaga!", which started innocently from a recurring subplot about their supposed love for each other. 


AlDub did not only top this year's trending list, but also broke the record previously held by the World Cup in 2014. 

Aside from the tandem AlDub, Maine Mendoza was also named top trending female personality, while Alden Richards placed second in the male personality category, losing only to Pope Francis.

Kris Jenner is really letting loose in Kourtney Kardashian's new snaps!

The reality star documented her day of wine tasting with her mom and sister Khloe Kardashian, where the trio looked to be having a great time singing Spice Girls and going around town, and in several videos, Kris was acting downright bizarre and we kind of loved it.

You’re getting ready to head out to Indio, Calif., for Coachella, America’s foremost gathering of rich kids who think having money is just such a burden. You’ve packed an appropriative headdress and all the molly on God’s green earth; so you’re set, right?

We’re thankful that Kim Kardashian is here to save the day. Follow her advice to a T if you want to make it out of the Colorado Desert alive.

So what are you going to need?

First of all, Kardashian recommends $112 worth of personal hygiene products, including hand sanitizer, blotting linens, deodorant, eye drops, sanitizing wipes, and dry shampoo. That’s probably more than you’ll spend on the peasant blouse you said was from “some thrift store” but is actually off the rack at Free People.

The noted tech mogul also recommends you pack a whole slew of gadgets, including an Apple watch, a real camera, and an iPhone case that extends battery life. What you’ll need the extra batteru for is unclear, since you’re lugging a whole camera from tent to tent.

So you won’t get grass (or sand?) stains all over your palazzo pants, Kim recommends you bring a $78 towel into the desert, surely to be left in the back of an Uber. A sound investment indeed.

And then there is the concern of getting yourself to the place where you can actually enjoy yourself while surrounded by a thousand conversations about tech disruption and summers in Provence. Kim suggests a key chain flask, which is hilarious because you’re going to need about 20 to really do the trick. And while everyone is all about vaping, Kim suggests you keep it analogue: Pack a bat to get yourself really feeling those Ultra Light Beams.

Few times she been around that track, but Kylie Jenner is still as much of a Gwen Stefani fan as she was at age 8. The reality star, 18, took to her personal app and website to show her special connection to The Voice coach.


“My first concert ever was Gwen Stefani in 2005!” Jenner wrote. “During the ‘B-A-N-A-N-A-S’ part of ‘Hollaback Girl,’ she brought a bunch of girls onstage to sing with her. One of her backup dancers put me on his shoulders and then Gwen put the mic in front of me to sing. I was so little! But it was cool because I ended up going on Gwen’s concert DVD, 'Harajuku Lovers Live.’”

Toward the end of the clip (at the 4:11 mark), a thrilled young Kylie happily sings along to the hit song while grooving on the top of the dancer’s shoulders.

Kylie, who just revealed she has the “#1 fastest growing Facebook page” on the networking site, has been very into sharing throwback videos lately via her social channels. Earlier this month she Snapchatted old Keeping Up With the Kardashians clips that featured her 14-year-old self meeting Tyga for the first time.

Kim Kardashian has a new partner in crime.  

The 35-year-old Keeping Up With the Kardashians star shared a picture of herself posing topless with none other than Emily Ratajkowski on Wednesday. “When we’re like…we both have nothing to wear LOL @emrata,” she captioned the racy shot. Naturally, the girls are flipping the bird.

Kim and Emily were obviously sending a special message to the haters who criticized Kardashian after she posting a year-old nude photo of herself a few weeks ago.

Ratajkowski was actually one of the celebs who came to Kardashian’s defense following the backlash regarding the controversial snap. The model/actress stood in solidarity with Kim by posting her own nude selfie. Kardashian was so touched by the gesture that she sent Ratajkowski flowers and a thank you note. Guess that explains how their latest photo came to be.

After retweeting Wednesday’s sexy selfie with Kardashian, Ratajkowski added a note about the importance of female empowerment. “However sexual our bodies may be, we need to hve the freedom as women to choose whn & how we express our sexuality,” she wrote. 

Kim Kardashian deliberately leaked her own sex tape in a bid for fame, a new book claims.

It’s alleged in Ian Halperin’s ‘Kardashian Dynasty’ that Kim masterminded the idea to launch her into fame and fortune with his mother and manager, Kris Jenner.


Investigative journalist and author Ian Halperin quotes a source from the “adult film industry”, who told him: 

“A mutual friend of Kim and Paris [Hilton] had advised her that if she wanted to achieve fame, a sex tape would be the way to go . . . Kim had discussed the idea of producing a tape with her family beforehand.”

One of the Keeping Up With The Kardashian star’s former pals also told Halperin: “It was Kris who engineered the deal behind the scenes and was responsible for the tape seeing the light of day.”

Leave it to Kim Kardashian West to steal the show at someone else's wedding.

Kim -- as well as her husband, Kanye West, and older sister, Kourtney Kardashian -- attended their friend David Grutman's star-studded Miami wedding on Saturday, and it's safe to say the 35-year-old reality star was feeling a little frisky.


Rocking a revealing black lace dress, Kim posted 15 super racy NSFW pics from the event on Instagram, including this one of what appears to show she and her hubby in the throes of passion.

Kim also had no qualms about showing off a whole lot of cleavage while flaunting what appears to be a diamond choker.
