Bridging the Dragon, the increasingly effective platform seeking to forge closer strategic ties between film industries in Europe and China, has announced the second batch of projects selected to participate in its Sino-European content lab.

The lab comprises six projects from Europe and six from China deemed suitable for co-production or co-financing.

It will consist of two four-day residential workshops prior to the next Beijing and Venice film festivals. Top notch writing and production-packaging tutors include Lu Wei (pictured), the scribe known for “Farewell My Concubine” and “Tuya’s Marriage,” among other titles; Universal Pictures International production manager Mercy Liao; and Studiocanal China topper Emilie Blezat. The Beijing lab will take place April 16-19.

Last year’s first Bridging the Dragon projects prompted high-profile China-Denmark co-prod, “My Best Friend Andersen,” on which Zentropa teamed up with China’s Jetavana Entertainment and Sheng-Wei Media. Pic will mark the directorial debut of hitmaking scribe-turned helmer Shu Huan (“Lost in Thailand,” “Lost in Hong Kong”).

The European projects are:

Norwegian animated family adventure “The Sea Monster Who Couldn’t Swim,” produced by Maipo Film.

Forbidden love saga “Qingdao,” produced by Germany’s Eikon West. Set during the Boxer Uprising in 1900 in China.

Romancer “San Mao,” to be helmed by Dutch director Paula Van der Oest (“Zus & Zo”), produced by Lowland Holding BV of the Netherlands. Inspired by the life of female writer Chen Mao Ping, whose pen name was San Mao and her relationship with her Spanish husband.

Dinosaur toon “Diplodocus,” produced by Poland’s Human Ark in tandem with Walking the Dog of Belgium. About a young dinosaur who searches for his parents and finds his own place in the world.

Adventure pic “Love of Alps,” to be directed by Dan Tang (“I Phone You”).  Co-produced by Germany’s Embassy of Dreams Filmproduktion and China’s Flying Color Motion Picture. A Goddess of Mercy statue brings five disparate characters together in an emotional rollercoaster involving GT supercars.

True-story revenge thriller “Kinkaseki,” being produced by the UK’s Bright Cold Day Films (“Containment”).

The Chinese projects are:

Female revenge drama “Dust to Dust,” produced by Zeng Zeng Media.

Mother-son drama “Springtime for Lily,” produced by Chengdu Guangxin Le Chuang. A Chinese mother released after 8-years of wrongful imprisonment goes on a quest to look for her son in the Netherlands. She cannot speak English and has 15 days to find him.

Mob and love movie “Live Again in Italy,” produced by China’s Handcraft Films. A Chinese young man and woman in Italy to escape from their past fall prey to a Mafia trap that becomes a life changing experience.

Soccer comedy “My Team VS. Real Madrid,” produced by JuBen Pictures. Toilet salesman Cao Yunfei accidentally invests 200 Euros in a La Liga soccer team in Spain and eventually goes there with friends to watch his team play.

Adventure pic “Da Ming Treasure Ship: Guardian Stone,” produced by 1905 Pictures. A a ten year-old boy living with a tribe on a secluded island in the Indian Ocean longs to see the world. Complications ensue.

Romancer “Ivory Love,” produced by Yunnan Lucent Pictures. Taboo-breaking historical romancer involving a French architect and a Chinese officer’s daughter.

She may have been booted off Love Island Australia in tears, but Vanessa Joli certainly isn’t losing any sleep over her ‘hurtful’ exit from the villa - nor the love she left behind.

Just one day after departing the reality TV show, the Vanuatu-born babe appeared to have bounced back in spectacular fashion, sharing a sizzling bikini snap on her Instagram account.

Posing on the beach in a sleek black two-piece swimsuit, the Sydneysider bared (almost) all thanks to her tiny bikini bottom that left little to the imagination.

Vanessa’s daring bikini

The briefs - by swimwear brand Pérdu - are exceptionally hi-cut and feature a daring triangular-shaped cut-out that sits just above the pubic bone.

Vanessa teamed them with the matching one-shouldered bikini top which also features a small cut-out under the bust which artfully exposes more than a hint of cleavage.

While the French speaker claimed in the caption for the saucy snap that she harboured no hard feelings toward her on-screen beau, model and wrestler Matthew Zukowski, she made sure to show him what he was missing.

The brainy beauty - she’s studying a Masters in computer science - appears to be a big fan of the brand, popping up multiple times on the Pérdu Instagram account modelling their wares.

In particular, Vanessa is snapped sporting the revealing Mrs Winkle bikini top and bottom which leaves the vast majority of her under-bust exposed.

She also wore another of the brand’s bikinis - a blue number with buckle detailing - on Love Island.

Skin-baring designs seem to be de rigueur for the brand, having released an ‘invisible’ bikini that appears to be stuck on to the model’s body thanks to the transparent straps.

‘Close shave’
It’s not the first time a bikini bottom with an extreme groin cut-out that leaves very little to the imagination has raised eyebrows online.

The itsy-bitsy bikini bottom by European brand HARD Swimwear features a high-cut, string sides that tie below the belly button.

But the most controversial part has to be the triangular cut-out that leaves several inches of the pubic area completely exposed.

Barely-there

US Big Brother star Liz Nolan, 28, sported the ‘Tie Me Down’ string bikini bottom on Instagram back in July, whipping her fans into a frenzy.

“Loveeee but interesting tan line that would leave!” commented one of the Miami native’s followers.

“That suit is cray,” said another.

“Doesn't seem practical for swimming, but it looks good,” pointed out one.

Another was concerned about the hair removal required to carry off the look, commenting, “Close shave”.

The racy beachwear comes in leopard and snake print as well as plain black - if you prefer a more subtle look - and costs about $45.

Those looking to quite literally top off their look with an equally skin-baring style might consider the brand’s ‘Sport’ top which exposes some serious underboob.

Just don’t forget to slather all skin left open to the sun’s rays with sunscreen, including any bits that, well... you get what we mean.

Great news, gang - you can now apply to be on the next series of Love Island.

To welcome 2020 with a bang, ITV has announced that there will be not one but TWO series of Love Island in 2020. The regular one, set in Majorca as usual, plus a winter Love Island, which will see Islanders having a swell time in a villa in South Africa. This series will air in the UK at the beginning of the year. And the best part? Applications for the winter version of Love Island are officially open!

So, if you fancy yourself as the next Maura Higgins, and quite like the idea of heading to South Africa to beat the January blues, here's what you need to know:

The online application page reads:

"ITV2 are looking for vibrant singles from across the UK who want to head to the winter sun in search of love!

"Love Island will be back for 2020 and we're now on the lookout for people to take part.

"Our Islanders will spend time in a luxury villa in the hope of finding love, but to remain in paradise they must win the hearts of the public and their fellow Islanders, who ultimately decide their fate on Love Island.

"If you think you’ve got what it takes, then we want to hear from you!

"Apply now by clicking here if you’re over 18, and you could be spending your winter in paradise!"

You are then prompted to fill out the initial application form.

Okay, okay. Let's take a minute to calm down. Because if you do end up applying for Love Island, how do you actually get picked? That’s what everyone wants to know right. Right? We reached out to the show's producers to find out just exactly why they made it and how you could too.

The application process

First things first, there is a proper application process through Love Island’s website (see above). If you were super keen and completed a 'registration form' in 2018 to just let ITV know you were interested, you now have to fill in the full application.

ITV stresses that you must be 18 years old by the closing date for entries to apply.

There is a closing date for entries this year which is 30th November 2019.

However, the application process is not the only way they find their contestants, having a strong social media game is key, casting producer for the show Lewis Evans says.

“We also cast our net far and wide by looking at social media profiles (Twitter and Instagram) as it’s always quite easy to gauge on there people who are popular, aren’t afraid to show themselves off and have a big following. We also attend events and hold street castings for prospective Islanders. The key is that they are over 18, single and looking for love.”

If you catch the producers' attention (which is tricky, some reports estimated that for the 2018 series there was around 85,000 ) there is then an audition process and numerous interviews, which we’re guessing wouldn’t be your run-of-the-mill “Where do you see yourself in five years time?” questions we’re used to.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but thong bikinis are definitely a thing for summer 2018.

We've tried to ignore it, but there's no getting away from it, and high street favourites like ASOS, Tophsop, H&M and Missguided are all selling the flesh-flashing style.

We blame Love Island.

This year, the swimwear silhouette of choice among the female contestants is a bum-baring Brazilian bottom.

The skimpy style was championed last year by the likes of Bella Hadid, Kim Kardashian, Kendall Jenner and Emily Ratajkowski, but now it's made it to the mainstream and onto our tv screens every night.

Chances are, that as a Brit, your bum hasn't seen the light of day before. Understandably, then, you may want to do a bit of prep before brandishing your butt.

We asked a range of experts how to get booty beautiful...

Waxing
Go for a Hollywood wax
"Hollywood waxes are always recommended for thongs as it removes all the hairs in the crack and buttock cheek leaving the area smooth to the touch." says Zainab Siddiq, General Manager UK at Ministry of Waxing.

Pay a professional
"It's not advised to wax yourself, yet it is still possible. It's imperative to get the angle right so you don't cause any damage to the skin or break the hairs. Leave it to the experts!"

Regular waxing
"Hair growth is in three stages - Anagen, Catogen and Telogen - the cycle differs from person to person and the growth at each stage differs.

"You can wax every four to six weeks to ensure your always well groomed. Hairs tend to grow faster in the warmer months."

Exfoliate, exfoliate, exfoliate
"Exfoliation and moisturising the area regularly will help keep the area smooth and free from ingrown hairs. Don't be tempted to shave!"

Moisturising
Technique
"Moisturising your bum is very important, just like any other body part," says Ingrid, the Brazilian Beauty Expert at Sol de Janeiro, the company behind the Instagram-famous Brazilian Bum Bum Cream.

Ingrid suggests you massage the cream onto your skin in circular motions to create heat and improve absorption.

How often?
"Everyday!"

Key ingredients
"We use Guaraná in our Bum Bum Cream. Guaraná, a native Amazonian fruit that has almost five times the concentration of caffeine than coffee. It is known to tighten and firm the skin.

"Together with cupuaçu butter, açaí and coconut oil, guaraná helps your bum look and feel its smoothest, tightest and positively most pinchable."

Fake Tan
Tanning expert James Read suggests you "exfoliate all over" and then get ready for a slathering of fake tan.

Cover all angles
"The James Read Instant Bronzing Mist has a 360-degree nozzle, which means you can use it upside down, making it a lot easier to get around the area you need to reach."

"I also recommend using a tanning mitt as this is the best way to apply the tan smoothly around the curves."

Layer up your tan
"Make sure you lightly moisturise the areas first and use a tanning mitt in downward strokes to avoid missing bits. I always do one layer, wait 20 minutes and then follow up with a second layer. This always ensures that you go over bits that you’ve missed and also means that your tan will last a lot longer and is a lot deeper in colour.

"Don’t over apply your self-tan. If you have any residue self-tan from your last tanning session, make sure that this is completely removed before tanning again. If you don’t remove the old tan first, once this starts to fade and dry out, it will take the new layer of tan with it, leaving you with streaks."

Use tan as concealer
"I think tan naturally hides cellulite, as it will help your skin look more toned. Make sure you really concentrate on the areas where you may have any stretch marks, taking the time to blend the tan properly into your skin with the tanning mitt as this will help even out the colour."

Contour your curves
"You can definitely create more shadow with some clever application.

"On day one, apply your self-tan all over your body including your bum and on day two use gradual tan and glide over the area where the sun would create a shadow - underneath the bum, on the sides and in the middle.

"Only leave on for an hour, and then wash off. This will help add definition instead of just adding another layer of colour, making your bum appear more toned."

Protect your posterior
"Always use a waterproof oil-free SPF to stop the chlorine and sea salt interfering with your-self tan."

Crawford and her husband, Rande Gerber, are currently soaking up the sun on the Caribbean island, where Gerber swept his wife away on his Casamigos Tequila private jet.

"@RandeGerber whisking me away for my birthday weekend!" Crawford Instagrammed on Wednesday.

"#TBT My 21st birthday. The cake says 'What's Next?' -- now I know!" she wrote.
"They are a great couple -- holding hands, looking into each other's eyes, very happy and loved up," the eyewitness tells ET. "Rande is always such a gentleman with her, making sure she is always OK."
According to an eyewitness, the two couldn't look more in love on their vacay, even after being married for 17 years.
Not surprisingly, Crawford's been reflecting on her upcoming milestone birthday. On Thursday, she posted this cute throwback photo of herself blowing out the candles on her epic Vogue-themed cake for her 21st birthday.

But the reality TV star has revealed that the $6,000 surgery she underwent two years ago to enhance her chest was a nightmare.

In a video from 2016, the 22-year-old discussed her “implant horror” story, saying things went wrong because her operation was “rushed”.

“I got there in the morning and him [the surgeon] and the nurse, they seemed like they were really rushing it,” she said.

She immediately felt stressed as she hadn’t had time to “recover and rest” before the hospital staff got her then boyfriend Jake to discharge her.

At the time she said she “couldn’t even feel her legs” and that the whole ordeal was “the worst”.

“I remember getting put into the car and he’s trying to ask me questions,” Mac explained. “But I just couldn’t say anything, I was just staring out the window while fading in and out of consciousness and just crying.”

Love Island has been slammed for being too racy, but viewers may be shocked to discover we’re barely seeing any of it.

Latest evictee Kim Hartnett has spilled on all the bedroom action going on inside the villa, revealing that while couples are “100 per cent” having sex in the house, the raunchy footage isn’t making it to air.

But one couple in particular’s night of passion stood out for her, because the rest of the house  — who all share one bedroom — were “sitting up and watching”.

“I think the first night they did it they full-on had an audience, everyone was sitting up and watching them,” she told News.com.au.

“Then it just got to the point where you were used to it. It was kind of like a bedtime lullaby, if they didn’t do it you’d be like, ‘what’s going on?’” she said.

While she didn’t name the love birds who shared this very public display of affection, she said it’s “pretty obvious” who it was.

Earlier this week viewers saw Eden and Erin become the first couple to be given access to the hideaway, a private room kitted out with a giant bed and set with romantic mood lighting, only for the camera to cut as things heated up.

Fans took to social media to complain, saying the Australian version was too “tame” compared to it’s British counterpart where the show originates.

“Eden and Erin’s moment in the hideaway was so tame,” one fan wrote on Facebook. “It’s so boring compared to the UK.”

While another said, “loving the Aussie Love Island but where is all the action?”

Despite fans pleas to see more of the X-rated footage being shot over in Mallorca, Spain, a spokesperson for Channel Nine told TV week the clips are “strictly off limits” because of strict television guidelines.

From Digital Spy

You put a bunch of attractive people who don't like wearing many clothes on a sunny island and you can bet they're going to end up doing the deed. Especially when they're taking part in Love Island, where the point is to get together in order in stay in the game.

While winners Dani Dyer and Jack Fincham didn't 'do bits' while on the show, Wes Nelson and Megan Barton Hanson were less bothered about having sex while on a TV show.

Speaking to OK! magazine, the two were asked how much romping they did, to which Wes said: "Let's just say it was a healthy amount!"

Megan added: "It felt like we were having sex more than the other couples but I think that's because we were so open about it.

"People said they forgot the cameras were there but we never did, especially when we were having sex, but we couldn't help ourselves."

Wes previously said that he didn't have sex with Laura Anderson because he was uncomfortable with the cameras around, but clearly he got over that eventually.

Addressing reports that they have already moved in together, Wes said he's been spending time at Megan's place but they've been so busy that they haven't really thought about officially moving in together.

Forget the fact that he's the founding member of the Do Bits Society, Love Island's Wes Nelson is ready to talk about why he didn't do bits with Laura Anderson in the villa...

It may feel like a lifetime ago that Wes and Laura were a lovey-dovey couple, but Wes has admitted that despite doing a few bits, he wasn't comfortable going the whole way with Laura.

He spoke to Cosmopolitan UK about why he stopped things from going too far on one specific occasion.

"It wasn't a secret [that I nearly had sex with Laura] – basically, it started and I felt uncomfortable during and I stopped, so it wasn't the full shebang," the 20-year-old said following the show's final.

"It wasn't the full thing. This was when it was early on. I was uncomfortable initially with the cameras and it was quite alien seeing the cameras," he continued.

"So it was uncomfortable and I didn't feel like I was ready to do it at the time. She was ready to do it, I wasn't as ready."

Wes also revealed that because he and Laura seemed quite loved-up early on, he felt pressure as no-one else had come close to sex yet, and everyone was waiting for the first couple to get down to the nitty gritty.

"There was a lot of pressure, and obviously it was a big talking point," Wes continued. "It's supposed to be an intimate moment, and quite private – especially if you're still testing the waters and getting to know someone..."

He joked: "And then I formed the Do Bits Society!"

Wes eventually felt ready enough to do a few bits and bobs with Megan Barton Hanson, which Jack Fincham inadvertently witnessed during one lazy afternoon.

Meanwhile, Laura admitted that she was glad they didn't have sex on TV in the end, and clarified that she definitely didn't do bits with Jack Fowler when they were briefly coupled up.

And although we obviously won't be privy to it, a Do Bits Society WhatsApp is being set up by Josh Denzel for all the male Islanders since leaving the show.

Long live doing bits, guys.

It is terrifying to imagine the sheer number of biros a stationery salesman would have to shift to earn 50 grand’s commission but, as the sparkle in Jack’s eye finally rose to outshine the unrelenting glare of his teeth it made one thing clear.

This was love, right here on ITV2. Jack and Dani, Dani and Jack, Jani, whatever you want to call it. Under the Mallorcan night sky, an instagram star is born. A great new light shines in the hashtag firmament. It is a love that outshines even its £50,000 career earnings thus far; a love that does not yet appear even to have benchmarked itself the grand vista of paid-for social media endorsements that has now been spread under its feet like the cloths of heaven.

Love is, of course, not the reason Love Island’s audience returns each night in its millions like a dog to its own vomit. Jack and Dani have been, at best, a soft string note beneath the fearful, anxiety inducing, cacophonic symphony of lies and tears and rows and ruthless manipulation that is this rising reality TV behemoth and its familiar brutalising serenade.

It makes the final itself a curious spectacle. There is not much left for the junkie when the hard stuff has run out, but the last crescendo for double violin was just about worth the wait.

These, frankly, are not the moments to cherish. The final eight, all wearing school leavers’ dinner suits and 19 quid ballgowns available for purchase through the app, staring into one another’s eyes and reading out semi-literate proto wedding vows are not what it’s about.

The moments to cherish are Adam, way back in what felt like the mid-14th century, dumping Kendall and starting a new life with Rosie without so much as breaking stride on his way between the fire pit and the rattan swing chair. It would be Alex, claiming to have been “honest” with Alexandra at all times, where honesty in fact means stampeding with furious intensity towards the one slightly more middle class contestant as if he we were one shy short of victory in the final seconds of the Eton wall game, then returning again in defeat as if nothing had happened.

That would be Georgia, who even now still appears to believe that a person’s character can be created by reading out an arbitrary list of personality traits that person imagines themselves to have, at no point having any actual bearing on their behaviour. How we will miss “real” and “loyal” Georgia, who would have no qualms at all declaring herself to be vegetarian in the middle of a mouthful of T-bone steak.

The Love Island grand final asks as many questions as it answers. In the sonnets and the sad songs, love is so many things. But nowhere is it an air hostess moaning seemingly without pause for breath for six solid weeks, before finally settling into toe-curlingly awkward conversation with the world’s most boring man. And yet here were Laura and some bloke called Paul, the runners’ up, the great British public’s second favourites, for reasons that must be attributable solely to the well documented, nakedly tribal telephone poll instincts of the Scots.

Is the look of longevity to be found elsewhere? “What drew you together,” Caroline Flack enquired of Wes and Megan at one point, sounding never more like Mrs Merton interviewing Debbie McGee, and Wes did his best to offer an answer that did not involve pointing directly towards the 15 grand’s worth of Right Said Fred reunion emerging from beneath his new new love’s open halterneck dress.

The series, by the way, has been in a bit of trouble recently for advertising cosmetic surgery during the ad breaks. And yet, during the actual show, 20 consecutive seconds are never passed before some self-esteem shredding platonic ideal of a fake tit pokes its face out of the side of a bikini like a naked mole emerging into the daylight. But now is not the time to enter the moral maze of such matters. We have been appalled, transfixed, disgusted and delighted in equal measure by some truly low-rent television and, let’s face it, some crushingly abysmal people. But at its irreducible source has been the sight and sound of two first class human beings discovering in real time, beneath the glare of the public spotlight, that they are, probably, soulmates – and there is no higher art form out there that gives you anything quite like that.

Admittedly, there are no higher art forms selling Rimmel tattoo transfers, nine quid bikinis and cosmetic surgery off the back of it either. But it’s 2018 and the buffet of hate, cynicism, disgrace and outrage has never before been stacked so high and with so many choices, so why not just enjoy this one?

Tonight's episode of Love Island is sure to be a bittersweet one.

On the one hand, we finally get to see which loved-up couple will walk out of the villa victorious.

On the other, we have to face a future where Love Island isn't a daily feature on our TV screens.

The winning couple will scoop a £50,000 prize - usually split between the two - and from then on is destined for a life of sporadic TV appearances and adverts for teeth whiteners.

We take a look back at previous couples who have won the show, if they've stayed together and what this year's winners could learn from them.

Series 1: Jessica Hayes, 24 and Max Morley, 25

Series1 of Love Island kicked off in 2015 as a reboot of Celebrity Love Island, which aired on ITV2 in 2005 and 2006.

Max, 25 and Jessica, 24, fell head-over-hills in the Mediterranean villa and were the first couple to scoop the prize.

But, as they say, summer doesn't last forever and the pair split up six weeks after leaving the villa.

Jessica decided to pursue her modelling career whilst Max, for whom one cringe-worthy reality show clearly wasn't enough, appeared on MTV's Ex on the Beach last year. He also lists himself as a model on his Instagram account.

WHAT THIS YEAR'S WINNERS COULD LEARN FROM THEM: If at first you don't succeed on one seedy reality show, try, try again.

Series 2: Cara De La Hoyde, 27 and Nathan Massey, 25

Cara, 27 and Nathan, 25 walked out of the villa hand-in-hand in 2016 after quite the romance.

But alas, the relationship between circus performer Cara and carpenter Nathan wasn't to last, and the pair broke up the following year.

But in true Love Island style, there was a plot twist when Cara announced she was pregnant with Nathan's baby a month after the split.
They got back together shortly before the birth of their baby, Freddie-George, and there was even talks of marriage.

In an interview with OK! magazine, Nathan said: "We've got much stronger. Fred has brought us closer together."

WHAT THIS YEAR'S WINNER COULD LEARN FROM THEM: Love does last outside the villa - even with its own tests.

Series 3: Kem Cetinay, 22 and Amber Davies, 21

Kem and Amber were the people's favourite and walked away from Love Island victorious.

Unfortunately, the Love Island curse struck once again and they announced their mutual split last December.

A source told The Sun: "They've been at each other's necks for the past month. They've been living on top of each other and clashed over the smallest things.

"It's also been very hard to see each other with their hectic schedules. They tried to make it work but realised they want different things and being together was too tough."

WHAT THIS YEAR'S WINNERS COULD LEARN FROM THEM: There is such a thing as having teeth too white.

From Digital Spy

It's the moment we've all been waiting for – Danny Dyer has finally come face to face with daughter Dani's boyfriend Jack Fincham on Love Island.

Well, sort of, as sadly he doesn't come to the villa in the flesh, but it's the best we're going to get.

In tonight's penultimate episode, each of the Islanders receives a visit from two of their loved ones and Dani is delighted to see her nan and grandad in the villa.

But that's not the only family reunion she's treated to, as she's then called into the living room to have a video call with her parents Danny and Joanne Mas.

Crying with excitement, Dani squeals: "Oh my God, I miss you", before proud dad Danny explains just how happy he's been with her behaviour in the villa.

"I will say, I got it wrong baby," he says. "I told you not to do it. We're so proud of you, you are incredible. You're an absolute hero babe."

After telling Dani that he thinks Jack is "lovely" and a "right proper geezer", Danny then gets to speak to his daughter's boyfriend for the first time when Dani runs to bring Jack into the call.

Fortunately for Jack, this terrifying first encounter with Dani's parents goes swimmingly as Danny says: "Listen, I approve of you mate. I think you're absolutely bang on. I weren't at first, I thought, 'Oh here we go'."

But Jack's definitely won over Dyer Sr, as Danny showers him with praise.

"Do you know what Jack, listen. Proper geezer, gotta say," he says. "I'll tell you what I love about you, I love the fact you got a little Derby. You got so much charisma… Honestly mate, we're so over the moon."

Jack is clearly very relieved to hear that he's got the parental seal of approval, saying in the Beach Hut after the call: "It's nerve-wracking. The fact that he approves of me and he likes me, I just thought, 'That's brilliant.' Dani must feel so relieved."

But it's not such plain sailing for all the couples, as Alexandra Cane's mum confronts her daughter's ex Alex George over his treatment of Alexandra.

"When you recoupled and you seemed to expect her to be grateful, and I think you made some comment, 'What's the matter with her, why she's so grumpy?'" she says.

"What did you expect a girl to feel like after she'd been rejected and then you deigned to bring her back to your side? I thought, 'Hey young man, I'll have words with you!'"

There's also awkwardness on the menu for Laura Anderson and Paul Knops, as Laura's dad questions why they aren't officially boyfriend and girlfriend.

"When you go with someone and spend all your time with them, are you not meant to ask them out to be boyfriend and girlfriend? I don't get this," he says, much to Laura's embarrassment.

You can revel in the awkwardness when Love Island airs tonight (July 29) at 9pm on ITV2.
