Jaden Smith’s fashion choices can’t be put into a gender normative box.

The 17-year-old son of Will and Jada Pinkett Smith explains his unique sense of style in the Spring/Summer issue of British GQ Style magazine, explaining that when it comes to gender norms, he’s “never seen any distinction.”

“I feel like people are kind of confused about gender norms,” the young artist says. “I feel like people don’t really get it. I’m not saying that I get it. I’m just saying that I’ve never seen any distinction.”

“I don’t see man clothes and woman clothes,” he continues. “I just see scared people and comfortable people.”

While Jaden doesn’t see gender when it comes to his bold fashion – that has at times included traditionally “feminine” seeming clothing, such as skirts – he does see it as one of the few dividing lines between himself and his 15-year-old sister, Willow, with whom Jaden shares a deep bond.

“I’d say it’s like full-on sibling brain connection,” he tells the publication. “I’d say that she’s definitely the female version of me, one hundred per cent, in every single way. And I’d say I’m the male version of her.”

Jada Pinkett Smith boycotted the Oscars. But did she watch? Well, she’s at least familiar with the joke Chris Rock made at her expense during his monologue.

At the airport on Saturday, Smith was asked about the joke and responded, ever so vaguely:

“It comes with the territory, sweetheart,” she said, before asking the photographers to get out of her way. “Hey look, it comes with the territory but we gotta keep it moving. We gotta keep it moving. We gotta keep it moving. There’s a lot of stuff we gotta handle, a lot of stuff in our world right now. We gotta keep it moving.”

Smith decided to boycott this year’s Oscars after The Academy failed, for the second year in a row, to nominate any actors of color for awards. During the ceremony, host Chris Rock joked that, “Jada boycotting the Oscars is like me boycotting Rihanna’s panties. I wasn’t invited!”

The lack of diversity among the nominees for the Academy Awards 2016 has sparked an unprecedented debate about race in the film industry.

None of the picks for the best actor and actress and best supporting actor and actress categories are from an ethnic minority.

The hashtag #OscarSoWhite, an online campaign from the previous year, has become a rallying cry for dissatisfied film stars and fans.

In response to the controversy, actors Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith will boycott the ceremony alongside director Spike Lee.

Others including actors George Clooney, Mark Ruffalo, Lupita Nyong’o, David Oyelowo, Viola Davis and British director Steve McQueen have spoken of their disappointment with the lack of diversity among the nominees.

Naked is the new orange, black, pink, blue, white—you get the point. It’s in! It could be said that Kim Kardashian paved the way for figure-hugging, next-to-nothing apparel (especially on the red carpet), but the truth is that Jennifer Lopez and her glorious curves set fashion down this path many moons ago. At the 2000 Grammy Awards, to be exact.

To kick off New York Fashion week, Kylie did what a Kardashian and/or Jenner does best—wear a next-to-naked ensemble. For the VFiles fall 2016 show, she sat in the frow, supporting her boy Tyga who later performed, dressed in a custom navy blue lace jumpsuit with a high neck, long sleeves and flared legs. Jada Pinkett Smith showed major skin while supporting her husband Will Smith at the Hollywood “Concussion” premiere. The 44-year-old turned heads in a sheer and sparkly Zuhair Murhad dress with a seriously deep neckline. (As if the see-through material wasn’t sexy enough!) Photo: Getty Images

Valentine’s Day is one of the most popular days of the year to get engaged. Naturally, it’s also the perfect time to reflect on some of our favorite Hollywood proposal stories. From flashy cars to the latest designer bags, celebrities live large. So it’s no surprise that when it comes to popping the question to their significant others, the pressure is on. Fortunately, many of them are able to live up to cinematic gestures of romance. From creating igloos to sneaking into their lover’s apartments and decorating them with rose petals, here are a few of the of the most romantic celebrity proposals in history.

How does a prince whose every move is followed by the world plan an intimate engagement? He takes his partner in crime to a far away land. In October 2010, William asked his longtime girlfriend, Kate Middleton, to marry him during an overnight stopover at Kenya’s Rutundu Log Cabins. After accepting his proposal, the couple snuggled by the fire and spent their first night as an engaged duo in a four poster bed that was hand carved from local trees. The cabin was so remote that it did not even have electricity and they were advised to bring their own food and drink, which we’re sure Will had covered. As for the ring? The prince presented her with the late Princess Diana’s breathtaking diamond-and-sapphire engagement band. “It’s very special to me, as Kate is very special to me now as well,” shared Prince William. “It was only right the two were put together. It was my way of making sure mother didn’t miss out on today and the excitement and the fact that we’re going to spend the rest of our lives together.“ (Photo: Chris Jackson/Getty Images)

With the Kardashian clan, everything is a flashy endeavor. Add Kanye West into the mix, and you’re in for some real fireworks. On Kim Kardashian’s 33rd birthday on Oct. 21, 2013, the rapper rented out AT&T Park — home to the San Francisco Giants. He blindfolded Kim to amp up the level of surprise and when the duo arrived, all of the lights in the stadium were dimmed. Then he got down on one knee and a 50-piece orchestra began to play Lana Del Rey’s “Young and Beautiful.” “Pleeease Marry Meee!!!” flashed in front of them on the Jumbotron screen. After she accepted his proposal, the lights turned on to reveal the entire Kardashian/Jenner clan as well as some of Kim’s closest friends who came running out from the dugout. Naturally, they celebrated with some bubbly. (Photo: Instagram)

Nick Cannon was so infatuated with Mariah Carey that he proposed to her twice. One night when the Empire State Building was lit up in her favorite colors — pink and purple — Cannon seized upon the opportunity and escorted her to the rooftop of her Manhattan apartment where he dropped to one knee and presented her with a 17-carat diamond that he had hidden inside of a candy ring pop. A few days later, he fulfilled Mariah’s fantasy of being abducted by her knight in shining armor. “He sort of kidnapped me and took me on a helicopter ride,” she told People. “Then he re-proposed.” The couple — who are parents to twins Monroe and Moroccan — divorced in December 2014. Cannon is still single while Carey recently got engaged to Australian billionaire James Packer. Her new bling is 35 carats! (Photo: Pascal Le Segretain/Getty Images)

Will Smith had no formal plan in mind to propose to Jada Pinkett; he just casually asked the very important question out one night in bed. “We were just lying there, going to sleep. I looked over at her and I said, ‘Hey, we might be real good married. Wassup? You wanna marry me?’” There was no ring involved but that didn’t stop Jada from agreeing to take the plunge with the actor. “Unplanned. No ring. Not the classic proposal,” Smith told People. “It’s really weird when you live the kind of lifestyle that we live. Simplicity becomes the jewel.” (Photo: Barry King/Getty Images)

After jumping on Oprah’s couch and publicly declaring his love for Katie Holmes in 2005, it became clear that Katie was “the one” for Tom Cruise. In June of that same year, he announced to the world that he had a fiancée who had converted from Catholicism to the Church of Scientology. To pop the question, Cruise took Holmes to the City of Light, where he presented her with a 5-carat yellow diamond at the top of the Eiffel Tower following a romantic dinner at Le Jules Verne. “Yes, I proposed to her. … It was early this morning at the Eiffel Tower, so I haven’t slept at all,” the actor said at a Paris press conference. “Today is a magnificent day for me, I’m engaged to a magnificent woman.” Four months later, TomKat revealed that Holmes was pregnant and in August 2006, baby Suri was born. In June 2012, Holmes filed for divorce, winning full custody of the couple’s daughter.

To ask for the hand of Angelina Jolie (seven years after they started dating), Brad Pitt made it a family affair. He wrangled their six children (Maddox, Pax, Shiloh, Zahara, Vivienne, and Knox) and presented Jolie with a 16-carat engagement ring in front of all of them. She, of course, instantly said yes, making Pitt and the kids very happy. According to Us Weekly, she cried and “everyone hugged once she put [the ring] on.” The couple wed on Aug. 23, 2014, at their estate Chateau Miraval in Correns, France. Oh, l’amour! Just because the #OscarsSoWhite doesn’t mean the entertainment industry isn’t diverse. At the NAACP Image Awards on Friday night, it was clear that in movies and television, from Creed and Straight Outta Compton to Empire and Scandal, people of color hold some of the most interesting and engaging roles in Hollywood.

While Jada Pinkett Smith recently spoke out that she wouldn’t be attending the Academy Awards due to the lack of diversity in the nominees, she made a point not to miss the NAACP Image Awards. Waring a teal strapless gown with a leaf-like motif, she walked the red carpet with her husband, Will Smith, in a coordinating green tuxedo with stripes, who was nominated for his role in Concussion for outstanding actor in a motion picture trophy alongside Abraham Attah, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Michael B. Jordan, and Michael Ealy.

Jaden Smith is all about challenging gender norms.

The 17-year-old son of Will and Jada Pinkett Smith recently posed shirtless in a skirt and rocked blue nail polish, showing off his muscles for Vogue Korea. Jaden also tucked a red flower behind his ear in the stunning shot, sweeping his braids to the side.

"Just Come Here," Jaden captioned the pic, which he shared on Instagram on Tuesday.

This, of course, isn't the first time Jaden has worn women's clothing. Last April, Jaden rocked a striped Topshop dress, and in May, he wore a long black-and-white dress to take Hunger Games actress Amandla Sternberg to prom. Earlier this month, he landed a modeling gig as the face of Louis Vuitton womenswear.

"Thank You So Much @louisvuitton And @nicolasghesquiere For The Opportunity To Impact This World," Jaden wrote about the fierce shot of himself posing alongside models Sarah Brannon, Rianne Van Rompaey, and Jean Campbell.

As for his love life -- if we're judging by his Instagram -- Jaden is still dating model Sarah Snyder, who he was spotted making out with at New York Fashion Week last September. Earlier this month, the Karate Kid star Instagrammed a photo of the two in front of a giraffe.

Halle Berry made history in 2002 when she won the Best Actress Academy Award for her role in Monster's Ball, becoming the first woman of color ever to take home the award.

"This moment is so much bigger than me," Berry said in her emotional acceptance speech. "This moment is for Dorothy Dandridge, Lena Horne, Diahann Carroll. It's for the women that stand beside me, Jada Pinkett, Angela Bassett, Vivica Fox. And it's for every nameless, faceless woman of color that now has a chance because this door tonight has been opened."

"Honestly, that win almost 15 years ago was iconic, it was important to me, but I had the knowing in the moment that it was bigger than me," Berry reflected. "I believed that in that moment, when I said 'The door tonight has been opened,' I believed that with every bone in my body that this was going to incite change because this door, this barrier, had been broken. And to sit here almost 15 years later, and knowing that another woman of color has not walked through that door, is heartbreaking."

The 49-year-old actress said she is disheartened by the thought that her win didn't open up more opportunities for women of color. In fact, since Berry's win, the Academy has only nominated seven women of color for Best Actress.

"It's heartbreaking, because I thought that moment was bigger than me," she added. "It's heartbreaking to start to think maybe it wasn't bigger than me. Maybe it wasn't. And I so desperately felt like it was."

Gotham is putting a literal spin on the classic Fish out of water tale.

Jada Pinkett Smith has signed on to reprise her role as Fish Mooney for multiple Season 2 episodes, TVLine has learned exclusively.

A rep for the Fox drama confirmed Smith’s return but declined to provide details about how the crime boss will resurface.

Fish was last seen in the Batman prequel’s Season 1 finale getting pushed into a watery grave by the Penguin. At the time, showrunner Bruno Heller hinted that the villainess could live to see another day. “I would definitely not assume anything in a town like Gotham,” the EP warned. “It’s very unpredictable, the comic book world.”

Especially when the folks at Indian Hill are conducting such Strange experiments.

Gotham resumes its second season on Monday, Feb. 29.

Production is finally under way on the anticipated Tupac Shakur biopic with confirmation in the casting department. All Eyez On Me, which will be directed by music video veteran Benny Boom, will portray the characters of actress Jada Pinkett Smith, Death Row Records boss Suge Knight and Tupac's mother Afeni Shakur.

Confirmed to play Pinkett Smith is singer and Vampire Diaries actress Kat Graham, who shared a photo of herself on set of the film with director Boom via Instagram. Sharing her excitement about the coveted role, Graham, 26, told The Wrap: "I've known about a few weeks now, and only officially could really start talking about it yesterday.

"So I immediately emailed Jada's brother, who I know, and I was like, 'You've got to tell her I'm in it!' But I heard that we're really similar, [we're both] musicians, producers and actresses – and tiny and sassy. So it works! I think it's going to work."

Pinkett Smith, 44, is known to have been close friends with Tupac having attended the Baltimore School For The Arts together. Opening up about their friendship in an interview with Howard Stern in 2015, Pinkett Smith explained: "It's so funny. Now being older, I have more of an understanding of what that was between us.

As I’m sure you’ve seen, the #10yearchallenge is the latest trend to sweep across the feeds of our social media.

And now even the celebrities have gotten involved in the challenge by sharing side by side photos of themselves comparing how they looked ten years ago to how they look now.

For some stars, it’s like looking at a whole other person… ahem, Caitlyn Jenner… but for others, it’s like they’ve only aged a day.

Reese Witherspoon, Jessica Biel and Lori Loughlin are among those age-defying celebs that are blowing our minds.
