When Hollywood flick Batman Versus Superman: Dawn Of Justice released, many felt that Jesse Eisenberg's portrayal of Superman's arch nemesis Lex Luthor reminded them of Shah Rukh Khan (we had said the same in our review) and on getting to know this, the King Khan is now rather keen to watch the superhero flick.

When director Bejoy Nambiar took to Twitter to remark on the similarities between Khan's negative roles and Eisenberg's Luthor, SRK tweeted, “Now toh I will have to watch it for Lex also. Hmmm??will ask my kids they r watching it tonight.”Khan had played negative characters in films like Baazigar, Darr and Anjaam.

Khan will be seen playing a grey role once again in YRF flick Fan.

Amber Heard is ready to go under the sea and join the DC cinematic universe!

ET confirmed on Thursday that the 29-year-old actress has been cast as Mera, the undersea queen and wife of Aquaman in the DC Comics canon. Heard will make her first appearance as Mera in 2017's The Justice League Part One before appearing in the 2018 standalone Aquaman film opposite Game of Thrones star Jason Momoa.

The actress exclusively dished to ET's Katie Krause about her sea queen costume.

"It's interesting. It's like, half suit of armor, half scales," Heard revealed. "It's strange... We're in the process of building it now, so it's coming along."

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice director Zack Snyder is set to helm the two-part Justice League films, while Furious 7's James Wan will be directing the Aquaman standalone feature.

It's certainly nice to see the Batman v Superman actor with a smile on his face, a rare sight in public since his split with his wife, Jennifer Garner, was announced last year.

The former couple have been focusing on keeping things friendly for their three children, and Affleck talked recently with Jimmy Kimmel about his "mortifying" appearance as Batman at his son Samuel's birthday party.

Garner recently went public about the end of the couple's relationship in an interview this month with Vanity Fair, where she said of her ex: "When his sun shines on you, you feel it. But when the sun is shining elsewhere, it's cold." Affleck has yet to comment on the interview.

David Bowie’s widow Iman has shared a message of gratitude and “love” to actor Gary Oldman.

On Thursday, the 60-year-old commended the Brits for the way her late husband was remembered.

Posting on her Instagram account, she uploaded a photo of Bowie alongside one of Gary Oldman from Wednesday night’s ceremony. It was accompanied by the message: “Thank you, Gary! We love you.”

Iman also quoted the section of Gary’s eulogy to his old friend which detailed how David had dealt with his illness.

The Brits remembered the late rocker with some rousing words by Annie Lennox who announced the Let’s Dance hit-maker as the recipient of the Icon Award.

The former Eurythmics singer then introduced the Batman Begins star to collect the award on behalf of the family.

Gary said the Brixton-born singer faced his cancer with “courage, dignity, grace and customary humour”.

After nine years, 200 episodes, and countless storylines later, The Big Bang Theory has finally given us something brand new to celebrate: Sheldon Cooper's birthday!

During Thursday night's landmark episode, Big Bang answered a question that many fans have always wondered about: why doesn't Sheldon like to celebrate his birthday?

In a heartbreaking reveal, Sheldon explained that every year on his birthday, his twin sister's friends would torture and humiliate him. "When I was six, they told me Batman was coming to my party," Sheldon confessed to Leonard, Penny and Amy. "I waited by the door for hours. The closest thing to Batman that I saw was when a Robin flew into the window."

When Amy expressed her deep desire to throw Sheldon the ultimate birthday party, he was naturally cautious to relive those buried memories, but she eventually won him over.. "You made my last birthday so memorable I wanted to return the favor," Amy said, referring to their big sleepover earlier this season.

Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne in ‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’

Long run times can be Kryptonite to moviegoers, but chances are that won’t be a problem with Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

According to the AMC Theaters website, the DC Comics movie will clock in at two hours and 31 minutes, or 151 minutes.

That is slightly longer than Man of Steel, which came in at 143 minutes, but just shorter than the 2006 box office disappointment Superman Returns, which was 153 minutes. However, Dark Knight Rises remains one of the longest superhero movies to date, with its 164 minute run time.

Starring Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill as the respective title characters, the movie sees Batman leading a crusade against Superman, believing that the Kryptonian is too powerful to be trusted.

Directed by Zack Snyder, the movie’s cast also includes Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Amy Adams as Superman’s girlfriend Lois Lane, Diane Lane as Superman’s Earth mom Martha Kent, Laurence Fishburne as Daily Planet editor Perry White, and Holly Hunter as a crusading anti-Superman U.S. senator.

The film will set up the Justice League movie, which will also star Jason Momoa as Arthur Curry, a.k.a. Aquaman. That movie is set to premiere Nov. 17, 2017.

The 32-year-old actor, who has been seeing 19-year-old college student Tara King, says in a new interview with Elle magazine that despite their age difference, they still find plenty to talk about.

"People say age is just a number. It's actually real and true sign of someone's maturity," he says. "But in this case, she's fantastic."

"When I met my girlfriend, I was super intimidated. I wanted to impress her," the Batman V. Superman star added. "I was thinking, Don't mess this up, man."

While he's completely comfortable in the relationship, Cavill admits that he understands the "natural reaction" to the couple's age difference, adding that he's dated older women before: "When I was 19, I was going out with a 32-year-old."

Asked what his former 32-year-old flame taught him, Cavill said coyly: "Things I can't mention in this article."

Gotham is putting a literal spin on the classic Fish out of water tale.

Jada Pinkett Smith has signed on to reprise her role as Fish Mooney for multiple Season 2 episodes, TVLine has learned exclusively.

A rep for the Fox drama confirmed Smith’s return but declined to provide details about how the crime boss will resurface.

Fish was last seen in the Batman prequel’s Season 1 finale getting pushed into a watery grave by the Penguin. At the time, showrunner Bruno Heller hinted that the villainess could live to see another day. “I would definitely not assume anything in a town like Gotham,” the EP warned. “It’s very unpredictable, the comic book world.”

Especially when the folks at Indian Hill are conducting such Strange experiments.

Gotham resumes its second season on Monday, Feb. 29.

While Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is still two months away, Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment are already gearing up their Justice League pic, adding another A-list actor to the ensemble.

Warner Bros. Had no comment.

Amber Heard is in talks to join the cast of WB’s Justice League pic as the love interest of Jason Momoa’s Aquaman, sources close to the project tell Variety. Insiders go on to add that she would not only appear in Justice League but would also co-star with Momoa in the studio’s standalone pic that currently has James Wan on board to direct.

If a deal does close, Heard would join an ensemble that already includes Momoa, Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot and Ezra Miller, all of whom are expected to make some sort of appearance in Dawn of Justice before reprising their roles in Justice League, which is set to bow on Nov. 17, 2017. Production is set to begin this April with Zack Snyder directing from a script by Chris Terrio.

Doomsday makes his appearance in the ‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’ trailer

DC Comics fans were left a little stunned by the major character reveal in the recent Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice trailer — but director Zack Snyder assures fans there are still many surprises ahead. The trailer gave us a first look at the March 25 film’s big villain, the monstrous killer Doomsday (created in the film by Lex Luthor from the corpse of Man of Steel villain Zod). In a conversation with The Daily Beast, Snyder said that he strategized carefully with Warner Bros. to drop the Doomsday bomb at exactly the right time.

“We had a long conversation about just taking ownership of that, of giving it to the audience in a controlled way that I felt was consistent with the escalation of the campaign,” said the director. And as for the idea they’ve given the whole movie away? “I know what’s in the movie, so I know there’s other stuff,” he told The Beast.

Following the release of the second trailer for March’s Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, some fans complained that too much of the story had been given away, especially as it related to seeing the two heroes stand alongside Wonder Woman against a common foe. Perhaps unsurprisingly, director Zack Snyder doesn’t agree with that point of view.

“I have the benefit of seeing the movie,” Snyder told MTV when asked about the complaints. “It’s cool that [fans] think it’s too much, and I appreciate people not wanting to know, but there’s plenty that they don’t know. There’s a lot of movie that’s not in the trailer.”

“In the trailer, of course he comes across in a very specific way,” Snyder admitted to MTV, before adding, “In the movie, he’s like a million times more sophisticated than what you get in 30 seconds. But that’s also the fun of it. That’s why you go to the movies, so you can actually see the context and understand the depth.”

There will be plenty of superheroes at the movies in 2016, with the Avengers, X-Men, Suicide Squad, Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Gambit, Doctor Strange, and Deadpool all getting some action. But there’s also some heavyweight comedy (like Paul Feig’s Ghostbusters reboot and a Zoolander sequel), highly anticipated animation (like the Nemo sequel Finding Dory and the new princess movie Moana), irresistible romantic pairings (like Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone in La La Land and Chris Pratt and Jennifer Lawrence in Passengers), and Oscar-friendly adult dramas (like biopics Sully and The Founder). Let’s count down the 40 films that have us feeling like ’16 will be extra-sweet.

Time Warner Chairman and CEO Jeff Bewkes says that Warner Bros. is poised to bounce back after a disappointing 2015.

The media mogul predicted that the studio would turn the corner on a series of flops, such as Jupiter Ascending and Pan, by offering moviegoers a steady diet of comic book movies and sequels, calling out upcoming films like Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and the Harry Potter spinoff Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.

“We think this could bring an under-represented female audience to this genre that frankly has not been served well in the past and that could be exciting,” he said.

Here’s Six more film folk who go the extra mile to ensure you enjoy every single dumb action flick they’re in.

Tom Cruise
Tom Cruise doesn’t seem happy unless he’s hanging off the edge of something, or leaping from one ledge to another from a massive great height.
But who else enjoys risking their life for the sake of cinema? Click through to find out!

Daniel Craig
The opening of Casino Royale is considered by many Bond fans to be the greatest stunt in the franchise’s long history.
That’s partly because Craig did it for real – yes, even that fight scene on top of a crane 200ft in the air.
Craig’s continued to do his own 007 stunts, even injuring his knee during Spectre’s fight scene with Dave Bautista.

Jason Statham
Statham’s pretty passionate about doing his own stunts. “I’m inspired by the people who could do their own work,” the actor said. “Bruce Lee never had stunt doubles and fight doubles, or Jackie Chan or Jet Li. I’ve been in action movies where there is a face replacement and I’m fighting with a double, and it’s embarrassing.
“But if you really are an aficionado of action movies, you know who’s doing what and who ain’t. To me it’s a little bit sad.”

Cameron Diaz
Cameron Diaz went shoulder-to-shoulder with Cruise when they made Knight & Day together. Diaz did her own stunt driving on the action flick – which means she was behind the wheel (and on the back of the bike) for some impressive sequences.

Christian Bale
Bale trained for months in order to be able to basically be Batman for Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy, mastering the martial art know as Keysi. “It’s a very instinctive kind of martial art,” Bale said. “It’s not about choreography; it’s very much about using your adrenaline and becoming an animal in your fighting style.”
But it wasn’t just the fight sequences – that really is Bale standing on the edge of Hong Kong’s second tallest building.

Keanu Reeves
Someone, somewhere, please pay Keanu Reeves whatever he wants to appear in the next Mission Impossible movie.
After all, he did 90% of his own action scenes on John Wick (and if you’ve seen John Wick, you’ll know that’s a lot of action scenes), is an accomplished martial artist in his own right and, well, he’s Keanu Reeves.
Still, don’t tell him he does his own stunts. “I get to do some physical acting. I get involved in some action but they’re not stunts. I flip over guys, I get flipped, I run, I jump, I play.”

Disney-Marvel’s “Black Panther” is heading for as much as $150 million in its North American opening on the four-day Presidents Day weekend, updated tracking is showing.

That’s significantly above the first tracking on Jan. 25 for the Chadwick Boseman tentpole, which initially placed the debut in the $100 million to $120 million range for the Feb. 16-19 period. “Black Panther” could break the Presidents Day weekend record of $152 million, set in 2016 by “Deadpool.” It will easily top the second-highest debut for  the four-day holiday, set in 2015 when “Fifty Shades of Grey” opened with $93 million.

“Black Panther” has been gaining steam this week. Fandango reported Wednesday that “Black Panther” is outpacing all superhero movies in advance ticket sales for Fandango’s online tickets service, eclipsing 2016’s “Batman v Superman.” It topped Fandango’s daily ticket sales in the wake of its world premiere and first screenings two days earlier.

The newest tracking showed total awareness of “Black Panther” at 88%, unaided awareness at 43%, and definite interest at 57%. Boseman stars as T’Challa, who takes over as the king of Wakanda after his father T’Chaka is killed, as shown in “Captain America: Civil War.” The film also stars Angela Bassett, Forest Whitaker, and Michael B. Jordan. Ryan Coogler directed the movie from a script he co-wrote with Joe Robert Cole.

Initial tracking on Thursday also showed that Warner Bros.’ comedy “Game Night” is projecting an opening in the $15 million to $20 million range on Feb. 23-25, while Paramount’s sci-fi thriller “Annihilation” should debut in the $12 million to $15 million area during the same weekend.

“Game Night,” directed by John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein, stars Jason Bateman and Rachel McAdams and follows a group of friends whose game night turns into a murder mystery. Supporting cast includes Kyle Chandler, Billy Magnussen, Sharon Horgan, Lamorne Morris, Kylie Bunbury, Jesse Plemons, Michael C. Hall, and Jeffrey Wright.

“Annihilation,” based on Jeff VanderMeer’s horror sci-fi novel, is directed by Alex Garland from his own script. The story follows a biologist, played by Natalie Portman, who embarks on a four-person expedition into a territory cut off from civilization while searching for clues about her husband’s disappearance. While there, she must deal with a contamination, vanishing colleagues, a deadly animal, and a creature known as the Crawler. Jennifer Jason Leigh, Gina Rodriguez, and Tessa Thompson also star.

Paramount made a deal with Netflix in December for the streaming service to handle the international release of  “Annihilation.”

Seasoned producer Charles Roven, who has had his hand in all DC Comics movie at Warner Bros. since Batman Begins in 2005, will no longer be producing certain DC movies, TheWrap has learned.

The move is another signal that Warner Bros. is putting its ducks in a row following the weak box office and bad critical response to “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” — and ahead of the launch of a whole lot more DC movies, including this August’s “Suicide Squad” and the launch of its symphony of superheroes in the “Justice League” series.

Just last week Warner Bros. put executive vice presidents Jon Berg and Geoff Johns in charge of its DC Films unit.

The specifics of Roven’s fate are still being decided, though he is still performing his duties as producer on “Wonder Woman.” He had also been named a producer on the Flash and Aquaman standalone movies, but it is not yet clear how he will serve those films.

Roven previously produced on “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” and “Suicide Squad” (with filming now complete on the Aug. 5 film).

“Roven is a key member of not only the DC slate but of the Warner Bros. family,” a studio spokesman told TheWrap.

“BvS” hasn’t come close to the high billion-dollar-plus watermark set by movies in the Marvel universe. While “BvS” has grossed $870.1 million worldwide so far, that’s far short of what many analysts expected.

Sources say Roven’s role is shifting simply to provide support for the quickly multiplying slate of DC movies — a job too big for one person as it involves multiple sets being filmed in several different countries and cities around the world.
