Ellie and Charlie were dumped from the Love Island villa last night – and another loved up couple will face the same fate tonight.

But in an explosive twist, the couple who the islanders choose to evict will be given the choice to leave, or split up and date the four bombshells who are gearing up to move in.

Sam and his “loyal” partner Georgia will go up against Wes and Megan, with their fate resting with their fellow islanders.

In scenes to be aired tonight the group take their time over a lengthy discussion before Josh reveals: “We would like to save this couple because, they have had their doubters, both inside and outside of the villa and as a group, we believe that they can go the distance.

“It wasn’t an easy decision at all, there was serious debate and people put forward very good points, pros and cons for both couples.

“But in the end we have managed to make a decision even though it was a hard one.”

Host Caroline Flack then reveals the twist, telling them: “You haven’t been saved by the public or your fellow Islanders. Therefore, you cannot stay on Love Island as a couple. This doesn’t have to be the end of your Love Island journey.

“It’s a huge decision, it’s either split up and remain in the villa or stay together and leave. Before you make that decision, I can tell you there are two new boys and two new girls waiting to enter the villa today.

“If you decide to split up and stay on the Island, you will each date two new Islanders and head back to the villa. You will decide who to couple up with on the next recoupling.”

She continues: “But you can’t be with each other. If you decide to stay as a couple, you will leave immediately without returning to the villa. You can take some time now to talk it out and come back to me with your decision.”

With Georgia’s every second spent reminding her mates how “loyal” she is, will she stick with Sam and pack her bags if it's them who face the chop?

Or will she “keep him on his toes” by opting to date the newcomers?

There were some pretty big shockers during tonight's Love Island, including one poor couple being dumped after receiving the least public votes to save them.

While the Islanders were living it up at the Island Beach Club, Caroline Flack turned up to crash the party and reveal that one of the couples were about to be packing their bags.

It was soon revealed to be Ellie Brown and Charlie Brake who would be leaving the villa for good, leading to tears from the other Islanders.

There were quite a few viewers who weren't too impressed with the results, and some of them used some pretty strong language:

But it seems there are no hard feelings from Ellie and Charlie, as they've revealed that they have no regrets about their time in the villa.

"It's mad coming out with somebody who you actually like and you actually have a connection with and who you are in a relationship with," Ellie said.

"It almost seems too good to be true. We haven't even been on a date yet! So the first thing we need to do is go on a date. I feel amazing about it."

One of the biggest moments of tension in the villa this year came when Ellie had a massive fight with Georgia Steel over Georgia's constant claims about being loyal, but Ellie has insisted that they're "in a very good place" now.

"The argument Georgia and I had was heated, emotions had built up. We shocked ourselves with how well we dealt with it afterwards," she said.

"We both apologised and then it was never really spoken about again. When I left, she gave me a kiss and a hug and she said 'I love you, can we be friends?' and I said I loved her back. We are in a very good place."

But two people who Ellie and Charlie have a heck of a lot of love for are Jack Fincham and Dani Dyer and they reckon the couple could be getting engaged in the near future.

"Jack and Dani will be engaged by this time next year," Ellie said. "I think they'll be our winners and rightly deserved. They've been together from the start.

"They are obsessed with each other. Living with them, you can see how in love they are. Jack is going to put a ring on it soon."

And Charlie agreed, saying: "Jack and Dani definitely!" when asked which of their fellow couples would get engaged first.

Ellie and Charlie have been unceremoniously dumped from Love Island in a surprise eviction that left no one shocked apart from them.

After showing all the chemistry of two cousins on a school trip to the Brecon Beacons, the genetically-blessed pair said their goodbyes during Sunday night’s episode after voters were asked to pick their favourite couple to stay.

After cutting over everything he said for the last two weeks and seeming generally exasperated every time he said “hi” (we feel this might have changed since she learnt his dad is worth £400m), it was no surprise to anyone when Caroline Flack announced that they were the next couple to be dumped.

We got a little hint that all was not well earlier in the episode when Ellie refused to apologise for their argument, with them both agreeing to brush everything under the carpet, which is obviously always the answer to every relationship problem.

“I just want to draw a line under this. It is so small and I hate waking up in the morning like this,” Charlie told her.

“Me too. Some things are best laughed off,” said Ellie, unaware that she’d be laughing her way straight out of the villa.

And while things might seem a bit too stable and loved up in the villa at the moment, producers teased the arrival of four new ‘bombshells’ at the end of the episode.

While we know that the arrival of Jennifer Lawrence and Ryan Gosling couldn’t break up Dani and Jack, we’re not so certain that some of the other couples will withstand such temptation. We’re looking at you, Jack and Laura.

Earlier in the episode, producers tried their best to cause more trouble in paradise by setting a viewer-voted-for poll on who were the best and worse couples.

After being in the top three least loyal couples, Georgia predictably kicked off, telling Sam: “I don’t understand why I was not in the loyal one when I’ve been loyal the whole time I’ve been in here… How am I not loyal?”

Erm, you might want to ask Laura, Georgia.

After professing their love for each other, Love Island's Zara McDermott and Adam Collard have shared the secret ways in which they communicated with each other in the villa.

Speaking to OK! Magazine, Adam explained: "We used to write messages to each other when we were in bed so other people couldn't hear what we were saying. We deleted our messages but the producers told me that they still have them all."

And, revealing that the lucky bunch get sent loads of new clothes direct to the residence, Adam added: "We get a sack full of clothes from Missguided delivered every couple of weeks. Everyone gets given their own sack of things that suit their style."

The pair, who spoke some more about loving each other and gushed about their "connection", also said: "Lots of people say our babies would be good looking!"

Their latest reveals come after the couple went Instagram official over the weekend – with Adam sharing a clip of Zara at Five Guys. "When your girlfriend is 10/10," he wrote.

Previously confirming just how serious he is about his new girlfriend, Adam told Caroline Flack on Aftersun that he "won the show too early" when he met her.

"Totally, I totally love Zara," he said. "The problem is I won the show too early, when I met Zara. I do love her."

Caroline then asked that all-important question – "Are you in love?" – to which Adam replied: "Yeah, 100%."

Last night's Love Island (July 2) delivered a brutal recoupling, which saw Georgia Steel dumped by Josh Denzel for new girl Kazimir Crossley.

Viewers were heartbroken for Georgia, after they watched her stay loyal to Josh while he was away in Casa Amor with the new arrivals.

The recoupling ceremony was one of the most awkward in the series' history, as Georgia was left until last to be asked if she wanted to stay with Josh or pair up with someone new.

Opting to stay with Josh, Georgia then had to watch him walk back into the villa hand in hand with Kaz, meaning Georgia was now single.

But amidst all the drama, some viewers might have missed another awkward moment – as not even host Caroline Flack could hide her feelings towards Josh.

Caroline asked Josh if he thought he'd made the right decision by picking Kaz, considering Georgia wanted to stay coupled up with him.

Josh said he had gone with his gut and added: "I went into Casa Amor thinking that I wasn't going to get my head turned. If I did, it has to be someone sensational, someone who blew me away, and Kaz came and did that."

Brutal.

Josh's straightforward answer caused Caroline to let out a shocked "okay" and turn away from him.

The host then delivered a very unconvincing "congratulations", as Josh and Kaz took their seats.

Caroline's reaction to Josh summed up what many fans who are firmly Team Georgia were thinking. They've officially had it with Josh.
