We’re unashamedly pretty much obsessed with James Corden’s Carpool Karaoke segment on his Late Late Show, with the host getting everyone from Mariah Carey to Stevie Wonder to help him get to work with their own music.
The segment has now become so popular, in fact, that reports are claiming it could follow in Jimmy Fallon’s Lip Sync Battle footsteps and become a TV series in its own right.
Yes. Please.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, James and executive producer (and good pal) Ben Winston are ‘out shopping’ the segment as an original series.
Sadly, it’s believed that James won’t host the series if it happens, though he’ll be an executive producer and would most probably make guest appearances.
We’re not entirely convinced Carpool Karaoke will be the same without the one and only James, but we’re willing to give it a go.
A host for the show would be decided after it gets picked up (if it does, which is definitely should). WATCH THIS SPACE.
The segment has become a viral sensation, with Adele’s turn in the passenger seat being the most-watched late-night YouTube clip ever.
