Yet he’s cast a lookalike for his ex-fiancée Perrie Edwards in the promo for his new music video.

Former One Direction member Zayn has also hinted the song, It’s You, contains references to Perrie in its biting lyrics.

‘Could it be that it’s a lesson that I never had to learn? I looked at it like a blessing and now it’s just a curse.’

Perrie Edwards has been left with burns on her arm and hand after her boiler blew up. The Little Mix singer shared a photo of her hand, which is covered in painful-looking blisters, on social media following the incident on Thursday.

"So today I had an accident… and be accident I mean I accidentally set myself on fire," she wrote. "The pilot light on my boiler blew up and it set my arm/hand on fire. I'm in pain, full of blisters, there's not one hair left on her hand or arm, and it burned the sleeve of my favourite jumper… nightmare. A little advice from me… STAY AWAY FROM FIRE! #StaySafeKids."

Fans were quick to show their support, sending messages to the star to wish her well. One wrote: "Oh my god Perrie thank God it's only your hands, that sounds horrific could've been much worse! Get well darling."

Another tweeted: "Oh Perrie! I'm so glad you're ok! I hope your hand gets better soon boo!"

Perrie and Leigh-Anne Pinnock were later seen leaving an after party with One Direction's Louis Tomlinson, the former bandmate of Perrie's former fiancé Zayn Malik. The trio were seen jumping into a taxi at around 2.30am after letting their hair down at the Sony Brit Awards event at The Arts Club in Mayfair, London.

The incident occurred after Edwards, and Jade Thirlwall, Jesy Nelson, and Leigh-Anne Pinnock performed at the Brit Awards 2016. The girl band performed their hit single Black Magic at the annual ceremony.

Meanwhile, Edwards is keeping herself busy with work, and moving on in her love life after parting ways from the former One Direction star. In an interview with You magazine, Edwards had revealed that she was doing great post their split, and admitted that she was using Instagram to meet men. Edwards at the time had said: "I'm single and ready to mingle!"


Speaking about the breakup, Edwards added: "It was a hard time. But we're having so much fun as a band and I've got my three girls. I'm so thankful I've got this lot. I didn't think our love could get any stronger."

"That sounds so cheesy, but we are like sisters – I can tell them anything. I can cry on their shoulders whenever. It could be four o'clock in the morning and I can ring them and go to their room," she stressed.

In the video, Peltz is wearing a white flowing dress and happily chatting with another man at a formal party. Malik, dressed in a Jame Bond-like tuxedo, is watching the conversation from afar and quietly admiring the beautiful blonde.

The 23-year-old singer is dropping the music video in conjunction with his first solo studio album, Mind of Mine. "It's You" is the second single to be released.

Zayn Malik debuted a new song, "It's You," on Wednesday's The Tonight Show, and the slow, soulful single is a far cry from his sexy single, "Pillowtalk."

Dressed like a private eye in an old film noir, the 23-year-old singer crooned his emotional new song and got a little help from The Roots.


Zayn's heartfelt and beautifully-produced Tonight Show appearance was the former One Direction member's solo TV debut. He was scheduled to make his debut on The Graham Norton Show last month, but Malik ended up canceling that engagement.

For some time, Malik has been promising a more mature, intellectual sound than the light-hearted (and immensely successful) music he was making with 1D. Now, with the debut on "It's You," it seems like his upcoming album Mind of Mine might make good on that promise.


Speaking of his new album, host Jimmy Fallon also gave fans a look at the cover art for Malik's highly anticipated album and it, too, is a far cry from the shirtless cover art Malik released for "Pillowtalk" back in January.

Pillowtalk is Zayn’s first offering since leaving One Direction in March 2015 and it is clear he has gone in a very different musical direction.

After sensationally quitting the biggest boyband on the planet to be “a normal 22-year-old” back in March, Zayn Malik has been working hard in the studio to produce some brand spankin’ new music.

And now that he is 23, he has obviously put to bed the notion of being a “normal” guy and is instead hellbent on becoming the biggest R&B star on the planet.

To be honest, who can blame him?


The star sent fans into meltdown last night when he announced that his debut solo single, ‘Pillow Talk’, will be released in less than one week’s time - speaking candidly about the track’s subject matter in a new interview.

With The Sunday Times’ Culture magazine revealing that the single includes lyrics about something “so pure, so  dirty and raw”, Zayn opened up about what the song is about.

Zayn Malik knew early on he wasn't meant for One Direction.

"I just gave it a go because it was there at the time," the 23-year-old singer said in an interview with Zane Lowe on Apple Music's Beats 1 radio.

"I think I kinda always wanted to go," Zayn revealed. "From the first year, I never really wanted to be there in the band."

"When I realized the direction that we were going in, mind the pun, with the music, I instantly realized it wasn't for me," he added. "How do you write a song from five people's perspective?"

Interestingly, Zayn said that his bandmates were always aware of his dissatisfaction.

"I think the boys knew that in terms of the music, that wasn't my cup of tea," he said, claiming that the other Direction guys anticipated his departure.

"When I was leaving the band, they didn't want me to leave," Zayn continued. "But I'd already made up my mind at that point."

Zayn Malik has pulled out of his first solo TV appearance on The Graham Norton Show. The singer was due to appear on the show on Friday (29 January) ahead of the release of his debut single, Pillowtalk.

It would have been his first TV interview since he sensationally quit One Direction in March last year to go solo. The 23-year-old was set to film the episode this week, before it airs on Friday night.

A representative for the star issued a statement citing "scheduling conflicts" as the reason for the unexpected no-show. The statement read: "Due to unforeseen scheduling conflicts with recording commitments, Zayn's appearance on Graham Norton has been postponed. Zayn has confirmed that he would love to appear on the show at a later date."

It's been reported that the Bradford singer pulled out to focus his time on putting the finishing touches to his debut album. However, a source told The Sun speculation is rife that there is more to his decision not to appear on the show to promote his debut solo song Pillow Talk:
