Sandra Bullock is one classy lady. Despite being a ridiculously talented actress with a whole wealth of awards filling up her cabinets at home, she steers clear of the limelight and prefers to keep her private life, well, private.
But that isn’t to say she keeps her thoughts to herself – especially when it comes to topics that really matter to her.
The 51-year-old actress hasn’t tiptoed around the issues of sexism in the film industry that have hit headlines so many times in the last year, so it wasn’t all that surprising when Bullock took to the People’s Choice Awards stage last night to give a shout out to one group of women who don’t get enough support – working mums.
In particular, the four “working mamas” she beat to scoop the Favourite Movie Actress award: Anne Hathaway, Melissa McCarthy, Meryl Streep and Scarlett Johansson.
