Last season, the trendiest accessory for a frower was a baby. Alyssa Milano brought along her daughter Elizabella Dylan Bugliari, Coco Rocha snapped selfies with Ioni James Conran from her coveted perch, North West cried her way through Yeezy, and the Beckham kids hammed it up with Anna Wintour. But for Fall 2016, infants have gotten upgraded from lap seats to spots on the runway.
You never know what to expect from @GypsySport at #NYFW. That's why they always 🔪👀🙌🏻. #gypsysport pic.twitter.com/BBGAMu8rw6— Sarah Mendelsohn (@ahitofsarah) February 16, 2016
At Gypsy Sport, a model walked out in nude capri-length spandex with compression-looking socks, and white sneakers. She wore a ruffled blouse with a tan train. Her blonde hair was worn naturally and she had on a red statement lip. As for accessories, she had paired a metal statement necklace with a baby wrapped in a brown blanket.

But while fashion’s known to pull pranks for some good press (topless male models being painted by an artist at Alice + Olivia, Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson coming out as their Zoolander characters at Valentino, a dance party at Diane Von Furstenberg, and more), this stunt seems to have purer motives. The baby belonged to the model who closed the show, Diandra Forrest. Named Rain, the little girl’s just two months old.
The clothes might’ve been tough — very ‘70s aprés ski vibes — but the finale couldn’t have been sweeter.
