GOOD SAMARITAN!!! Akshay Kumar to lend support for WHO's diabetic awareness campaign

Our dear old Akshay Kumar aka Akki seems to have embarked on a noble cause. Here's the dope on it.

The actor will feature in a video campaign by the World Health Organisation to raise awareness about diabetes in India.

It is a part of the World Health Organisation's mission to prevent diabetes whenever possible, encourage prevention and to raise awareness.

As per the buzz, the video will be directed by Rajkumar Hirani and released on World Health Day on April 7.

Apparently, the Airlift star and Hirani have been discussing ideas for the video, which is expected to be shot this week in Mumbai.

The video will be released online on the YouTube channel, Being Indian.

Previously, Akshay supported the UN's Global Goals campaign advocating the importance of Global Goal No 3 "Good Health and Well-Being".

He also recently extended his support for Max Bupa Walk for Health, which aims to inspire thousands of families to walk more to enhance their overall health and well-being.

The actor's latest outing Airlift seems to have found a lot of favour from the critics and the junta alike and is doing brisk business at the ticket counters.

Nice to see B-Town celebs like Akki extending a helping hand for such righteous causes.
