Hilary Duff’s divorce from her ex, retired NHL star Mike Comrie, has been finalized.
The Younger actress, who filed for divorce in February 2015 citing irreconcilable differences, will have to pay her ex $2,408,786.40. This specific number equals 50 percent of the value of the couple’s Beverly Hills mansion, which Duff will keep.
On top of the money, Comrie will also get to keep a number of the couple’s valuable vehicles, including a 2014 Bentley and a 2013 Mercedes SUV, as well as some jewelry and several joint possessions.
The couple signed an enforceable prenuptial agreement before tying the knot, meaning they share no community property. Anything either of them earned before, during, or after their marriage remains theirs. Additionally, neither Duff, 28, nor Comrie, 35, are on the hook for spousal support.
“It wasn’t working well enough to stay together, but there was still a lot of love involved,” she said. “It was just a slow set-in of us not being the match that we used to be. I’m lucky for the person he is and I am, and how we decided to handle this.”
