Andy Murray and Kim Sears have settled on a name for their baby daughter. The couple, who welcomed their firstborn on 7 February, have named their new arrival Sophia Olivia Murray, a family friend has revealed to the Mail.
Speculation had been mounting that they would choose a traditional Scottish name for their little girl, with bookmakers listing Freya, Alexandra and Elizabeth as favourites. But they instead decided on the pretty Greek name Sophia, which means wise.

No further details have been given about the baby, who weighed 8lbs 10oz at birth, and no photographs have been released. Andy and Kim, both 28, are believed to be keeping a low profile at their family house in Oxford, enjoying their precious first few weeks with their daughter.
Andy's grandmother Ellen Murray did reveal that Andy phoned relatives to let them know the good news. "Andy phoned and said 'congratulations, you're a great granny'," paternal grandma Ellen Murray, 82, told BBC Scotland from her home in North Lanarkshire. "He told me the baby was 8lb 10oz when she was born. It's wonderful news.
"I don't really know about her name yet but I hope we'll see them all soon," she added. "I'll be looking forward to a cuddle."
