Sonam Kapoor's latest film Neerja is being lauded by critics and audiences alike and we recently found out that the makers of the film went an extra mile to create tension between the actors who play terrorists and the actors, who played the passengers of the ill-fated flight.
Producer Atul Kasbekar revealed that the actors who played the hijackers were kept away from the rest of the cast while shooting the film so that the two groups do not mingle and bond. This was done especially because the makers wanted the tension between the hijackers and passengers to come out on the screen. Buzz has it that the 'hijackers' were kept around 200 metres away from the rest of the crew at all times when they were not shooting.
Neerja is based on slain air hostess Neerja Bhanot, who sacrificed her life to save the life of airline passengers during the 1986 Pan Am hijack crisis.
