It seems that after a period of hibernation, the effervescent Pari has finally managed to bag YRF's "Thug". To be directed by the Dhoom director Vijay Krishna Acharya (aka Victor), the film is apparently inspired by the Pirates Of The Caribbean series. While there hasn’t been any official announcement, a lot of stories about the film have been doing the rounds. Apparently Hrithik Roshan has been finalized as the lead actor and will reportedly play a pirate captain, much like Johnny Depp’s Jack Sparrow character in the Pirates Of The Caribbean series. It has also been learnt that a huge set of a ship will be put up in YRF during the next couple of months where the major scenes on board will be canned. It appears that Yash Raj Films are planning a whole new Thug franchise if the first film does well. Now comes the latest news that Parineeti Chopra has been signed for the film.
Grapevine has it that Parineeti tried really hard to be a part of Sultan and was having meetings with the YRF head honchos. However, it seems that info was mere speculation and it is Victor’s film that she has signed. Supposedly the official announcement about signing her as the female lead will be made in the coming week.
