Shane Warne has been bitten on the head by an anaconda in the Australian version of the TV programme ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here’.
The 46-year-old took part in a “Tucker Trial” that required the former Australian cricketer to stick his head into tanks fills with African clawed frogs, scorpions, cockroaches and rats.
In the final task Warne dunked his head into a tank of snakes – reportedly one of his biggest fears – and it did not go well for the ex-fiance of Liz Hurley.
The programme’s presenter Chris Brown has warned that the smell of the rats on Warne from the earlier task might prompt the non-venomous snakes to “think he’s food”. It proved prophetic.
Warne had reacted to the sight of the tank full of snakes by saying: “Awww, no, come on”.
The leg-spinner did manage, however, to get nine out of the 10 stars on offer in the trial which did at least prompt some words of encouragement from the team posting from his official Twitter account.
