Taapsee to Star in a YRF Production?

In a development that is bound to send Taapsee Pannu’s fans in to frenzy, it seems that the 28-year-old actress has been offered a role in a Yash Raj Films venture. While not a lot is known about the film at present, according to sources, it will be set in Bihar. Moreover, the movie—which will be made on limited budget, is likely to be directed by debutant Karan Kashyap who has worked as an assistant director  on the sets of films such as Chak De India andGaja Gamini.


Interestingly, sometime ago Yash Raj Films had produced- distributed the low-budget Dum Laga Ke Haisha which became a sleeper hit at the box office. If such a thing happens to Taapsee’s movie as well, it will help her establish herself as bankable name in Bollywood.

On a related note, Taapsee is a reasonably well known name in the Southern film fraternity. Her most noted films include Arrambam and Adukalam.
