While Sonam Kapoor is extremely busy promoting her next release Neerja, a special screening of the much awaited film was held in Mumbai last night. And it was a true “Bollywood meets Cricket” affair. From Aamir Khan and Hrithik Roshan to Sunil Gavaskar and Sachin Tendulkar — it was one evening to remember.
Others who attended the screening were Shilpa Shetty and Shamita Shetty, Anil Kapoor, Ayushmann Khurrana with his wife Tahira Kashyap,Twinkle Khanna, Subhash Ghai, Karan Johar, Ritesh Sidhwani, Padmini Kolhapure, Abhinay Deo and Yuvraj Singh with his fiancée Hazel Keech.
Hrithik Roshan was highly impressed with the film, and said, “I just don’t remember when I cried this much last while watching a film. It’s really emotional. It hits you hard, and Shabana Azmi, my god, I totally salute her. Sonam is absolutely incredible. Ram Madhvani has done a great job.”
While Aamir Khan, who cries very easily while watching films, too got teary-eyed watching Neerja. He said, “I know I cry a bit too much, but Neerja was really touching. And the kind of work Shabana Azmi has done. Hats off to her.”
Based on the hijacking of Pan Am Flight 73, Neerja is slated to release on February 19. And we just can’t wait for it, after listening to what Aamir and Hrithik just said! What about you?
