Zayn Malik released his debut album ‘Mind Of Mine’ just 24 hours ago – and it’s basically the only thing anyone’s talking about right now.
Especially after a certain set of lyrics on one particular song, 'She Don’t Love Me’ – where the former member of One Direction appears to admit to cheating on former fiancée Perrie Edwards.
The pair split last year after four years together.
The Bradford beaut sings: “I think I know she don’t love me, that’s why I f*** around.”
Erm, Zayn – say it isn’t so, please?!
It’s not the first time he’s had a pop at his ex – with the singer trashing Pez in the song 'It’s You’, also on the new album. “She got her own reason for talking to me,” he sings, “She don’t give a f*** about what I need / Tell me your lies because I just can’t face it”.
“Could it be that it’s a lesson that I never had to learn? I looked at it like a blessing and now it’s just a curse.”
Oh Zayno – NOT COOL, BRUV. There’s a time and a place to talk about your ex like that (usually in your best mate’s kitchen after 3 bottles of Zinfandel), and this ain’t it.
Anyway, despite the hysteria surrounding his controversial lyrics, it hasn’t stopped the pop juggernaut from storming the charts across the world.
The album has shot straight to number one in over 70 countries (!) in just 24 hours - making him the first artist EVER to achieved this impressive feat.
I mean, we’re all going to go out and buy a copy – but perhaps we’ll just quickly skip over the shady Perrie parts, eh?
