Harrison Ford, 73, Is 'Excited' to Play Indiana Jones Again: 'I'll Be Ready!'

Harrison Ford is "excited" to play Indiana Jones again, a decade after the last film.

Disney announced that the 73-year-old actor will reunite with Steven Spielberg for a fifth Indiana Jones film -- hitting theaters on July 19, 2019 -- and while on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Monday, Ford promised, "I'll be ready."

"The opportunity to work with Steven again and the chance to revisit this character which has brought pleasure to so many people -- not to mention, me," he explained. "It's great fun to play this character. It's great fun to work with Steven. I'm looking forward to it."

Meanwhile, Ford will relinquish his other iconic role, Han Solo, to another actor -- one of the upcoming Star Wars spin-off films will focus on the Millennium Falcon pilot, before he ever met Luke Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi. Just don't call the actor who eventually lands the role the new Han Solo.

"Not a new Han Solo, a young Han Solo," he corrected Ellen DeGeneres during a visit to her show. "It's worse than that!"
