Zoella and her internet army defend her Snapchat underwear selfie

Zoella is certainly no stranger to the internet and knows how it can be – but that doesn’t make it any less awful when she falls victim to the trolls.

The YouTube star posted a bedtime selfie to her followers on Snapchat, wearing a white long-sleeved top and a black pair of Calvin Klein boxers.

But people were quick to criticise her for it, saying she was not setting a good example to her fan base, which is made up almost entirely of young girls.

However Zoella has hit back at critics and some of the media who commented upon her attire, tweeting: “Writing about my PJ’s when there are SERIOUS things happening all over the world. SMH.”

She thanked her loyal fans for their support and called for a world where “body confidence won’t be sexualised or shamed”.
