Kim Kardashian And Emily Ratajkowski Shut Down Body-Shamers With Another Naked Selfie

A couple of weeks ago, Kim Kardashian found herself with nothing to wear. Gah, what’s a girl to do? Take a naked selfie of course, well if you’re KK anyway. Fast forward a few weeks and our Kim finds herself with the exact same wardrobe predicament. This time though she’s been joined by actress and model of Blurred Lines fame, Emily Ratajkowski. And with both in the same clothing crisis, what else can they do but post a starkers selfie…together. Cue the internet breaking for the second time in a little over two weeks.

But before you roll your eyes, tsk and dismiss the move as double dose of attention seeking, there is actually an important reason behind the pair teaming up. No, seriously.

Rewind to Kim’s original naked post for a minute. Though Kim was slammed by many for the shot - step forward Bette Midler, Chloe Grace Moretz et al – others saw the selfie as a way to open up a discussion about female empowerment and body politics. And Emily was one such supporter.

Taking to her own social media channels, the Gone Girl actress posted a topless selfie, covering her breasts with one arm, captioning it “What to wear tonight?” in a nod to Kim’s original post.

Whether Kim was just grateful for the support or the pair wanted to keep the body empowerment conversation going, they decided to team up and pose sans bra with those familiar black boxes protecting their modesty.
