Liam Hemsworth denies Miley Cyrus engagement

Actor Liam Hemsworth has made it clear he is not engaged to wed singer Miley Cyrus.

The Hunger Games star proposed to the We Can't Stop hitmaker in 2012 after spending three years in an on-off romance, but they called off their engagement and parted ways in 2013.

Speculation is rife Liam, 26, and Miley, 23, have recently reignited their relationship since the pop star has been seen sporting the custom-made engagement ring he gave her four years ago on her left ring finger.

But when questioned on the status of their relationship by Australia's TV Week, he confirmed they are not betrothed to each other.

“I am not engaged, no,” he revealed.

Although Liam insists they are not headed down the aisle anytime soon, it seems obvious the pair is an item once again. Miley was pictured hanging out with Liam and his family in Australia in December (15), and reports stepped up further over the past week, when they were snapped arriving together at a Mexican restaurant in Los Angeles on Friday (08Apr16). The actors were also reportedly spotted holding hands at The Huntsman: Winter's War premiere, a movie his brother Chris Hemsworth stars in, earlier this week (begs11Apr16).

Liam was reluctant to divulge more details about his relationship with Miley during the TV Week interview, stating he is not interested in receiving fanfare for his personal decisions.

“I just don’t leave my home,” he said of his approach to avoiding paparazzi. “For the last few months because I had a back injury I really couldn’t do much. So I have honestly been at my house most of the time.”
