Mel B will host the 2016 RBS British LGBT Awards where nominees include Boy George, Cara Delevingne and Sam Smith.
The America’s Got Talent presenter is set to co-host the UK’s biggest gay awards show in London on May 13 and revealed how “proud” she is to show her support for the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender community.
Mel, below, said: “I am really excited to be hosting the 2016 British LGBT Awards next month.
“It is a fantastic event that recognises the LGBT people doing wonderful things and the straight allies who give so much support to the LGBT community.
“I’m proud to be part of it. It is going to be a brilliant night filled with surprises and a glitzy guest list that is just fabulous. The British LGBT Awards is the hottest ticket in town.”
Mel, above in her Spice Girls days, and co-host Duncan James will preside over the ceremony at London’s Grand Connaught Rooms and stars including Years and Years frontman Olly Alexander, Boy George, Cara Delevingne and Sam Smith have been nominated.
Awards founder Sarah Garrett said: “With such brilliant hosts and some great awards up for grabs, the 2016 British LGBT Awards is going to be a night to remember.”
