Earlier this month, Peralejo announced her second pregnancy on Instagram, only to reveal that she has lost it a few days after. Admitting that it was quite a traumatic experience, Peralejo turned to her blog as a source of information and comfort.
And now, she admitted that she has learned a lot from her recent miscarriage after sharing her thoughts and experience with her blog readers.
As reported on Push News, the actress, who attended the GSK Expert Mom launching event held in Makati City recently, stated that writing about it helped her a lot with the healing process.
She said, "I'm just glad because I think what happened to me has somehow became a voice when I aired it. A lot of women are currently facing this issue or had been through it. So they started commenting on my blog and I was like, 'Wow, so many people are going through this' and it's just a side of motherhood that not a lot of mothers are vocal about."
Peralejo stated that it was some sort of a silver lining for her, that God was able to use her to give comfort to other people.
"Because sometimes that's all you need, someone who's just going to tell you that, 'You know it happened to me too and I know what you're going through'," she added.
Although it was difficult at first, Peralejo revealed that she is now ready to return to work and go back to her normal routine.
"Of course there's still longing in my heart. I still sometimes get sad but it's not like I'm depressed or anything like that. I think I'm okay. I'm at that period of my life that I'm in that phase of this whole ordeal that I am okay, really I am," she said.
