Selena Gomez Gets Down-Home Country for GQ

Selena Gomez’s Texas roots are showing in her new shoot for GQ. The Prairie Home Companion shoot sees Gomez posing on a ranch in various states of undress.

While the shoot makes it clear that Gomez is all grown up now, she talks about navigating life in the spotlight from a young age.

“I didn’t have an opportunity to figure out my life without people having an opinion every step of the way,” Gomez tells the magazine. “I chose this. So I’m not gonna sit here and say, ‘Oh, my God, poor me, I didn’t have a normal childhood.’ I don’t give a f**k about that.”

Gomez got her start on Barney & Friends when she was just 10 years old. Next, she’s got a small role in Neighbors 2, the sequel to the highly popular Seth Rogen/Rose Byrne/Zac Efron 2014 comedy.

“I was cussing a lot and being dramatic,” Gomez says of her time on set. In the movie she plays a sorority president.
