TVB has denied rumours that it has bought the rights to controversial film "Ten Years" to turn it into a television drama.
As reported on Oriental Daily, rumours of a small screen adaptation of the indie anthology sparked recently, when a tabloid claimed that one of the directors said that the company has contacted them about buying the film's television rights.
However, TVB's Tsang Sing Ming has quickly clarified the situation, saying that the company has neither purchased the right nor the other producers have agreed to sell it to TVB.
But of course, it would not be wise for TVB to buy the right to the movie so hated by mainland China, since it has a long standing relationship with various broadcasters in the north.
The movie's co-producer Jevons Au has also denied the reports, saying that they have already reached an agreement with another television station instead.
