AR Rahman walks out of Aamir Khan’s film

Aamir Khan’s former manager Advait Chandan’s film Secret Superstar (earlier titled Aaj Phir Jeene Ki Tamanna Hai) has run into trouble even before it goes on floors.

SpotboyE has it that music director AR Rahman and lyricist Prasoon Joshi have left the project. Reason? The two worked on the soundtrack for almost a year but were left waiting in the wings for a go-ahead.

The two were upset that Aamir wasn’t showing any interest in the movie’s progress.    

Says a source close to the maestro from Chennai, “Prasoon and Rahman sir had been doing their bit in terms of music sessions, but the film just wasn’t moving forward. No one wants to invest time but not see results, right? Aamir wanted to be thoroughly involved but Dangal hasn’t left him with time to do anything else. So, eventually, Rahman sir decided to quit. Ditto Prasoon.”

We hear, music composer Amit Trivedi and lyricist Kausar Munir have stepped into their shoes.
