'Game of Thrones' Season 6 Episode 2: Home - Guess Who's Back, Back Again...

Called into action by Ser Davos, Melisandre washes Snow’s body clean, revealing the extent of his wounds. As she lays her hands upon his body and prays to the Lord of Light, all seems lost as she gets no response. Leaving Snow alone with Ghost, the camera hovers over him for a few moments before he opens his eyes, letting out a gasp.

Following Snow’s shock death in the penultimate episode of Season 5 – another fan favourite to come to his untimely end – the cast and crew of Game of Thrones have kept up the pretence that he was gone for good. But we weren’t convinced (or just desperately in denial). Conspiracy theories flocked in, with one focusing on Kit Harington still sporting Snow’s trademark mane even after exiting the show - In 2014 he told The Independent that he’s contractually obliged to keep his hair long for the show.

that Snow would not be returning, but now the secret is out. In a video chat with Entertainment Weekly, he said;

“I’d like to say sorry for lying to everyone. I’m glad that people were upset that he died. I think my biggest fear was that people were not going to care. Or it would just be, ‘Fine, Jon Snow’s dead.’ But it seems like people had a, similar to the Red Wedding episode, kind of grief about it. Which means something I’m doing — or the show is doing — is right.”
