Helpless Aishwarya as Dalbir Kaur Features on New Poster of Sarbjit

Ahead of its Cannes premiere, the makers of Sarbjit have released a new poster of their film featuring the stunning Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. The new poster shows a helpless and aged Aishwarya as Dalbir Kaur, sitting on the bed with facial expressions that depict hope.

The film is based on the life of the villager Sarbjit Singh, who in high spirits, crosses the border and is accused of being a terrorist. He was jailed by the Pakistan authorities for 23 years, before he was killed by the inmates. The title role is played by Randeep Hooda. 

Directed by Omung Kumar and jointly produced by T-Series, Pooja films and Sandeep Singh, Sarbjit is all set to premiere at Cannes on May 15, 2016. The movie releases in India on May 20.
