Hrithik Roshan Starrer Mohenjo Daro is Special For One Reason! Guess What?

Hrithik Roshan’s period drama Mohenjo Daro by Ashutosh Gowariker is much awaited. The film is set in the ancient city of Mohenjo-daro in the era of the Indus Valley civilization that dates back to 2600 BC. It features Pooja Hegde opposite Hrithik for the very first time and is set to release on August 12th.

News is that though this is a typical Gowariker movie, there is one thing in Mohendo Daro that stands out from the rest of his films. It is the length of the film, which is said to be only a good 150 minutes (2 hours 30 min). Well, that makes it the shortest film in Ashutosh’s career and buzz is that the filmmaker is pretty thrilled about this fact.

Most of his earlier films including Lagaan (3 hours 54 minutes), Swades (3 hours 30 minutes), Jodha Akbar (3 hours 34 minutes),  and What’s Your Raashee (3 hours 33 minutes) went above the 3 hour mark. Ashutosh has therefore set his mind on the 2 hour cut and apparently is making the edits accordingly.
