I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here: Geordie Shore Star Sophie Kasaei Rumoured For 2016 Line Up

Sophie Kasaei is rumoured to be eyeing up a spot around the campfire on this year’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here.

The former Geordie Shore star, who was booted off the MTV series back in 2013 after allegedly making racist remarks, made an appearance on the show’s fifth anniversary special last night (May 10).

And now, the 26-year-old has fuelled rumours that she might have signed up for another reality TV show, after responding to a Twitter account dedicated to I’m A Celeb.

The account tweeted: “NEWS: Geordie Shore’s @SophieKasaei_ is amongst the rumoured to be entering the jungle this year… #ImACeleb.“

Sophie retweeted the rumour to her 819,000 followers, and wrote: “Sssshhhh!”

Your secret is safe with us, Soph! *wink wink*

While the news hasn’t been confirmed by ITV, the brunette lass hasn’t exactly denied the reports either.

It wouldn’t be the first time that the show has seen a Geordie Shore star take a trip down under, Sophie would be following in the footsteps of former MTV co-star Vicky Pattison, who is the reigning Queen of the Jungle.

Kasaei might have some competition though, as fellow MTV cast member Gary Beadle is also keen to take on the witchetty grub diet.

Gaz revealed that he would definitely be “up for” taking part and claimed that the show had approached him last year, but he turned it down because he didn’t want to spend time apart from his then-girlfriend Lillie Lexie Gregg.

Vicky, however, didn’t seem convinced. She explained that he hadn’t appeared on the last series because the producers rejected him.

She told Reveal: “They didn’t want him because he thought he was going to be the hunk of the show, but they evidently already had Spencer [Matthews] so he wasn’t necessary. I can’t imagine if they refused him once, they will pick him again.

"I also can’t imagine they would pick another Geordie Shore star after I won it last year. It doesn’t seem likely to me.”
