Jay Z mentions Beyoncé's new album in rap – see what he has to say

Beyoncé got fans around the world talking when she sang about Jay Z's alleged infidelity on her new album Lemonade in April, and now it's the rapper's turn to have his say. Jay Z has responded to the album with a freestyle rap on the remix of Fat Joe's song All the Way Up, released exclusively on Tidal.

The rapper doesn't shy away from referencing his wife's album, and even appears to celebrate the fact that Beyoncé managed to turn their marital troubles into a chart-topping album.

He raps: "You know you made it when the fact/ Your marriage made it is worth millions/ Lemonade is a popular drink and still it is. Survival of the littest."

Beyoncé released her highly anticipated new album in April, which many fans observed seemed to be a working through of the rumoured infidelity of Jay Z. In one track, Sorry, Beyoncé sings: "He only wants me when I'm not there / He better call Becky with the good hair."

Fans speculated that either fashion designer Rachel Roy or singer Rita Ora could be the mysterious 'Becky', after the nature of their relationships with Jay Z were called into question. Fans believed that Rita had been dropping hints that the song was about her, however she quashed the rumours by sharing a photo of herself and Beyoncé togetherat the Met Gala, adding the caption: "Family".

In addition to the photo, Rita had previously taken to Twitter to deny the rumours. "I never usually address tabloid gossip but let me be clear, these rumours are false," she wrote. "I have nothing but the utmost respect for Beyoncé. Let's continue enjoying Lemonade."
