Lorraine Kelly has donned a bright pink bikini for a splash-around in the pool to encourage her fans to get ready for the summer with “Bikini Promise + One”, saying: “If I can do it, then you can too”.
The ITV presenter’s campaign calls on viewers to get together with their “plus one” – a friend or partner – and support each other to get fit and healthy with a summer food and fitness plan.
Lorraine, 56, said: “For the finale of the Bikini Promise last year, I danced on the banks of the River Thames in my bikini with a fantastic group of women also in their bikinis.
“Who knows what will be in store for this year’s finale!”
To give viewers a sneak peek of what’s to come, she filmed a special Club Tropicana-themed video of her enjoying herself in a swimming pool.
Lorraine added: “I never thought I would feel confident enough to wear a bikini on national TV but if I can do it then you can too. This plan is all about feeling healthy, fit and happy.
“This year we want you to get your ‘plus one’ involved as well. It could be your partner, relative or best friend.”
Over the course of six weeks, Lorraine will bring in the help of cook and nutritionist Sally Bee, fitness expert Maxine Jones, and health expert Dr Hilary Jones to help participants feel good about themselves before their summer holidays.
