Rainie Yang doesn't want to be typecast

She could have continued acting in various idol dramas, but Taiwanese singer-actress Rainie Yang instead decided to focus on her music after several years of working on TV productions.

According to ET Today, the actress, who is making her Taiwanese drama comeback through "Rose-leaf Bramble", admitted that staying with the television industry would have been much easier for her.

"I could have continued taking the same easy roles and get a lot of lucrative endorsements. But I hate to go in this direction," said Rainie.

The actress said she believes in diversifying her roles as an actress.

"You can't just do the same thing because you think viewers would like to see the same trend. We also have to exceed their expectations," she added.
