Ritz Azul gets her first lead role as a Kapamilya

It's lucky to be former Kapatid star Ritz Azul, who recently signed a management contract with rival network, ABS-CBN.

As reported on Astig News, following a guest appearance on Coco Martin's drama, "FPJ's Ang Probinsyano", the actress has now landed a starring role in the upcoming series, "The Promise of Forever".

The drama, to be directed by Darnel Villaflor ("Nathaniel") and Hannah Espia ("Transit"), is also set to star Paulo Avelino and Ejay Falcon.

Azul stated that she feels blessed to be given such an opportunity to play the lead, and that she will use it as the platform for her to prove her worth as a Kapamilya. 

Director Villaflor, meanwhile, stated that the story will try to prove that love is beyond forever. 

"It's not heavy, but romantic," he said. 

No further information has been released about the new drama for the time being.
