Robin Padilla has recently requested for the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) to find the person behind the Twitter handle krizzy-kalerqui (aka Miss Krizzy), following the latter's previous allegation against him.
As reported on Inquirer, previously, the Twitter user shared a screencap of Padilla's previous Instagram post of a sample ballot, accusing him of violating election law and demanding him to be thrown into jail for it.
Although she had since deleted the post, Padilla stressed that Miss Krizzy's post had brought repercussion to him and his family, since he was forced to be reminded and remind his family that he was a former convict.
Padilla's lawyer previously released a letter explaining the controversy surrounding the photo of the sample ballot, saying that not only was it not an official ballot and was not taken inside a voting precinct, Padilla is also legally barred to exercise his right to vote presently.
Padilla told a news agency recently that the allegation forced him to tell actress daughter, Kylie Padilla, about his former crime.
Back in 1995, the actor was convicted for illegal possession of firearms and was sentenced to 10 to 18 years in jail. He was granted conditional parole in 1998 by then President Fidel V. Ramos.
The actor said that it was painful to him to have to open up about his past again.
"I even sent my kids to Australia just to erase that ex-convict tag, but now it's coming out again," he said.
On the other hand, the Twitter user Miss Krizzy defended herself, saying that her reaction was only based on what she had seen.
"Bashing is subjectively hitting a particular personality. It is totally different from stating a generic and objective reaction," she wrote.
