miss A Chinese member, Jia recently bid her farewell online following news of her departure from JYP Entertainment and the K-pop group itself.
The 27-year-old singer, who decided not to renew her contract with the company following its expiry, took to Weibo to say her goodbye to the company, the group, and her fans, with a message posted in Chinese characters.
It read, "I have thought about this for a long time, on how to tell everybody about my decision. It has been nearly ten years since I left my hometown to develop myself in a foreign country. I am thankful to JYP Entertainment that have been training and managing my career, and I am grateful to be given the chance to be part of miss A."
She also expressed her gratitude towards the three other members, Fei, Min, and Suzy, saying, "I will always support you", and to fans, "I hope that you will lend me your support in the future. I will continue to work hard."
On the other hand, Jia's fellow countrywoman, Fei, whose contract with the company has also expired, decided to continue with miss A and JYP.
