David Bowie’s widow Iman has shared a message of gratitude and “love” to actor Gary Oldman.
On Thursday, the 60-year-old commended the Brits for the way her late husband was remembered.
Posting on her Instagram account, she uploaded a photo of Bowie alongside one of Gary Oldman from Wednesday night’s ceremony. It was accompanied by the message: “Thank you, Gary! We love you.”
Iman also quoted the section of Gary’s eulogy to his old friend which detailed how David had dealt with his illness.
The Brits remembered the late rocker with some rousing words by Annie Lennox who announced the Let’s Dance hit-maker as the recipient of the Icon Award.
The former Eurythmics singer then introduced the Batman Begins star to collect the award on behalf of the family.
Gary said the Brixton-born singer faced his cancer with “courage, dignity, grace and customary humour”.
