Lady Gaga gave James Corden a fright as she took to the wheel during his chat show’s popular Carpool Karaoke segment.

The singer, who passed her driving test a few months ago, was offered the chance to swap seats with the British TV presenter on his commute.

Unsure, she struggled to set herself up and admitted she “can’t see very well”.

Instructing her to pull away, James asked if she had learnt any hand signals for driving in New York, to which she put her middle finger up.

Putting on a helmet as the car lurched forward, he joked: “I don’t know if I feel safe in this environment.”

Lady Gaga also admitted that her father “cried” when she finally got her licence at the age of 30.

During the 15-minute piece, the eccentric star and James sang some of her biggest hits together, including Bad Romance, Poker Face and Edge Of Glory.

While driving around Los Angeles together, they also belted out tracks from her new album Joanne – Perfect Illusion and Million Reasons.

Lady Gaga – real name Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta – discussed her collection of “at least 400 pieces” of Michael Jackson’s clothes, as well as her forthcoming Super Bowl half-time concert next year.

James asked if Michael’s clothes smell and probed the singer over the authenticity of the items before joking that he had been conned before when buying every member of boy band O-Town’s T-shirts.

Lady Gaga and James also jokingly re-enacted the moment she was offered the Super Bowl gig, with the comic taking on the role of “Dave from the NFL”.

More humorous moments came when the host of The Late Late Show donned some of Lady Gaga’s most famous costumes, including the yellow caution tape from her Telephone music video and the meat dress she wore to the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards.

Lady Gaga explained her unique style mantra, saying: “The point is to be unfashionable.”

Following the broadcast of Carpool Karaoke, The Late Late Show’s executive producer Ben Winston tweeted: “This one’s special. We’ve wanted this carpool since we started the show.

This is not a drill: The Taylor Swift–Katy Perry feud is over. We repeat, there is no more “Bad Blood.”

On Tuesday, Swift shared a video on her Instagram Story of an olive branch and handwritten note sent by Perry. “So I just got to my dressing room and found this actual olive branch,” she says. “This means so much to me.”

You can read some of what the note says. “Hey Old Friend,” Perry begins. “I’ve been doing some reflecting on past miscommunications and these feelings between us. I really want to clear the air…” Perry also writes she’s “deeply sorry.”

(Hey, Taylor… share the whole thing!)

Swift — who kicks off her “Reputation World Tour” tonight in Phoenix — wrote “Thank you Katy” with a double heart emoji.

This marks the end of a four-year rift between the singers. Fans were first made aware of the feud when Swift told Rolling Stone in 2014 that a fellow pop star inspired her track “Bad Blood.”

“For years, I was never sure if we were friends or not,” Swift said. “She would come up to me at awards shows and say something and walk away, and I would think, ‘Are we friends, or did she just give me the harshest insult of my life?'”

Swift continued, “She did something so horrible. I was like, ‘Oh, we’re just straight-up enemies.’ And it wasn’t even about a guy! It had to do with business. She basically tried to sabotage an entire arena tour. She tried to hire a bunch of people out from under me.”

(Perry did date John Mayer after he had a brief fling with Swift, but that’s neither here nor there.)

The sabotage Swift is referring to is when a few of her backup dancers on her “Red World Tour” jumped ship to join Perry on her “Prismatic World Tour.” An agent for one of the dancers explained they simply “exercised a 30-day out in their contracts and left Taylor, but Katy didn’t steal them.”

“They just didn’t want to tour with her anymore because there is basically no choreography or dancing in her show,” the agent said.

After Perry caught wind of the interview, she responded on Twitter.

“If somebody is trying to defame my character, you’re going to hear about it,” Perry later told Billboard magazine about the tweet. And we did hear about it — in last year’s Perry’s diss track about Swift, “Swish Swish.”

Although Swift never mentioned Perry by name out of principle (not that it was hard to figure out), Orlando Bloom’s love admitted the song was about her and that it started over dancers. “There were three backing dancers,” Perry told James Corden. “I tried to talk to her about it and she wouldn’t speak to me.”

Despite releasing “Swish Swish,” Perry expressed her desire to squash their beef.

“I’m ready to let it go. Absolutely, 100 percent,” Perry said in a live stream to promote her new album, Witness. “I forgive her, and I’m sorry for anything I ever did, and I hope the same from her, and I think it’s actually… I think it’s time.”

“There are bigger fish to fry, and there are bigger problems in the world,” she continued. “I love her and I want the best for her, and I think she’s a fantastic songwriter, and like, I think that if we both, her and I, can be representatives of strong women that come together despite their differences, I think the whole world is going to go, like, ‘Yeah, we can do this.'”

Perry added, “Maybe I don’t agree with everything she does, and maybe she doesn’t agree with everything I do, but like, I just… I really, truly, want to come together, and in a place of love and forgiveness, and understanding and compassion.”

Late last year it was rumored that the superstars did in fact clear the air. E! reported in December that they met up in Miami with Perry filming a cameo in Swift’s “End Game” music video. We never saw that cameo so it seemed like all hope was lost… until today.

Not many people can pull off Lady Gaga's outlandish outfits, but James Corden had a crack at it during his latest instalment of Carpool Karaoke.
The comedian tried on some of the singer's most iconic looks, ranging from her VMAs meat dress to her Brit Awards ruffled white gown.

"I don't like it when fashion fails me," said Lady Gaga.
"It rarely does," said James, in all seriousness.

"Oh no, I don't know about that!" laughed the singer. "Or maybe I fail fashion? I guess with me I just never worry about who likes it or doesn't. Kind of, the point is to be unfashionable."
James tried on a copy of Lady Gaga's meat dress, complete with slices of ham and strips of bacon.

"The good thing with this one is, you always have a snack," said James, tearing off bits of meat. "You just go, 'Ooh I'm hungry.'"

"I really think you should take that off," said Lady Gaga
As the pop star recoiled in disgust, James said: "Gaga look at me. If you can't take it, how do you think they felt at the VMAs?"
"I really think you should take that off," she replied.
The chat show host also tried on Lady Gaga's white Brit Awards dress, wearing a matching wig and mask.

The singer was promoting her new album Joanne
The Bad Romance singer, who was promoting her new album Joanne, also opened up about her writing process – and revealed that it only took a few minutes to write some of her most popular songs.
"I wrote Just Dance in ten minutes. Poker Face was ten minutes. Born This Way was just ten minutes," she said.

Michelle Obama’s Carpool Karaoke ride featured a very special surprise passenger – Missy Elliott!

The First Lady’s much anticipated appearance went public on Wednesday night’s episode of The Late Late Show with James Corden. The trailer promised some “Single Ladies” moves that would do Beyoncé proud, but fans were not expecting Mrs. Obama to show off her formidable flow by rapping “Get Ur Freak On” with the hip hop pioneer herself.

Elliott sat down exclusively with PEOPLE to reveal what it was like to rap and roll with the FLOTUS.

The pair first met back in March, when Elliott joined Obama for the keynote speech at South by Southwest in Austin, Texas. Though Elliott admits she was nervous, the First Lady’s warm welcome quickly put her at ease. “I remember her holding her arms out and coming towards me to hug me,” recalls Elliott, 45. “Everything ran through my mind like, ‘Wait ‘til my mama sees this! Wait 'til my cousins see this!’”

Things got even more presidential for Elliott in June when the Carpool Karaoke production took her all the way to 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.

“Just when you think you’ve reached the highest place, you find yourself pulling up to the White House and you’re walking inside a building that you’ve known about since you were a little, little kid,” she marvels. “They’re taking you around and showing you [things] – even down to the plates that each president might have eaten on. It’s like, 'Wow, can’t believe it.’”

It’s hard to imagine a more intimidating situation than rapping in a car with the First Lady while surrounded by a bunch of cameras, but Elliott took it all in stride. “I was probably more nervous about forgetting my words,” she admits. “[I was worried] I’d start mixing 'Work It’ with 'The Rain’ with 'Get Ur Freak On.’ But I wasn’t nervous about being in the car because they made me feel like they knew me.”

Turns out Mrs. Obama knows Missy Elliott – and her music – extremely well.

“When we got in the car and I saw her rapping 'Get Ur Freak On,’ it kind of bugged me out!” Elliott confirms that the FLOTUS indeed knew all the words. “I know for a fact that it was all over my face like, 'Wait, is she rapping this?’ But that goes to show you just how cool she is. People hold her in such a high regard – as you should – but she’s so down to Earth. I was just sitting in the back like, 'I gotta be dreaming. This ain’t even real. Is somebody going to wake me up and say, 'You overslept.’”

Safety concerns kept the car confined to the White House grounds, but that didn’t put a damper on the fast and loose mood.

“The way she is, you feel like you can just ride down the highway with the windows rolled down and be chilling with one of your friends,” Elliott tells PEOPLE. “But at the end of the day she is the First Lady so they probably thought it wasn’t a good idea to ride on the regular road.”

Famous for her elaborate music videos, Elliott says the taping was over in the blink of an eye. “It was cool because I didn’t know it was going to be one take. I’m thinking, 'We’re just rehearsing!’ And then they’re like, 'OK, we’re done!’ I was like, 'Whoa, wait a minute! That was the quickest I ever shot a video!”

The unforgettable TV moment was executive produced by AOL’s MAKERS.com, the same organization responsible for the First Lady’s girl power anthem “This Is For My Girls,” – inspired by the Let Girls Learn initiative and the 62 million girls around the world who do not have access to education. Mrs. Obama and Corden duetted on the song for Carpool Karaoke, but the recorded version features vocal appearances from some of the biggest names in the popular music, including Elliott herself.

“I wanted to be in support of Let Girls Learn so girls across the world could have education to become leaders and great mothers,” Elliott explains. “I don’t want my legacy to just be about music that I’ve done. I want it to be about great causes like this.”

In addition to aiding a worthy cause, Missy got the once-in-a-lifetime chance to get to know the First Lady on a personal level. “It’s one thing when you’re watching on TV but she’s so down to Earth. She’s like one of my aunts that would be at a cook-out. She’s so cool you almost forget! You almost gotta remind yourself, 'Hold up, this is the First Lady. You ain’t at the family reunion!’”

Justin Bieber is showing off his Calvins again.

The 22-year-old singer kicked off the long Memorial Day weekend with a sexy underwear selfie.

Bieber’s toned and tattooed body was put on full display in the shot – his hand grabbing the crotch of his navy-colored undies. “#MyCalvins” he captioned the photo.

Of course, this isn’t the first time Bieber has stripped down to his Calvins.

Bieber became a spokesperson and brand ambassador for Calvin Klein back in January 2015, appearing in an ad with 32-year-old Dutch model Lara Stone.

He later told Late Late Show host James Corden that one of the perks of being a Calvin Klein model is the lifetime supply of underwear he received.

“They send me a lot, boxes and boxes of Calvin Kleins,” Bieber said during Corden’s popular Carpool Karaoke segment. “I definitely don’t wear them twice. There’s so many.”

Another day, another genius Carpool Karaoke offering from The Late Late Show host James Corden - and this time, he’s got long-time BFFs Demi Lovato and Nick Jonas involved.

Seriously, when is it our turn please, James?

Joining James to help him get to work, the two, who have been friends for ten years, discussed everything from Nick’s dating life (with Demi giving us all the low-down on his romances with Selena Gomez and Miley Cyrus), The Jonas Brothers, crazy fans and Demi’s interpretation of a heart attack.

Oh, and there were revelations about Nick once being tied up, and one particularly on-point impression of his brother Joe, too.

Of course, there was the usual car-based sing-song too (since that’s kinda the whole point of this brilliant segment), with the trio creating a supergroup to sing along to Demi’s ‘Stone Cold’ and ‘Heart Attack’, and Nick’s ‘Chains’ and ‘Close’ amongst others.

It’s all very emotional and beautiful and we love it.

Giving this Carpool Karaoke a very special spin, ‘JND’ then took their karaoke talents onto the street, holding an impromptu busking session for those lucky enough to be walking by at the time.

Gordon Ramsay has confirmed he and wife Tana are expecting their fifth child. The celebrity chef revealed their happy news during an appearance on James Corden's The Late Late Show and admitted he's excited but a little apprehensive about becoming a father again.

The 49-year-old and Tana, 41, are already parents to Megan, 17, twins Holly and Jack, 16, and 14-year-old Tilly. Gordon dropped the bombshell when asked about how he's handling raising four teenagers.

He said: "We have three girls and a boy… and one more on the way."

The audience exploded into applause, before Gordon continued: "I'm a little bit nervous. The baby's due in September. Obviously I'll be happy with another girl… but four girls, four weddings, four sweet 16s and four boyfriends."

And, on the subject of boys, the hot-headed chef joked: "I'm fair. I think they should wait until they're at least 21."

When asked about his wife, Gordon insisted Tana is doing well and looking forward to expanding their family.
Host James, 37, shared a clip of Gordon's announcement on Twitter, and added: "Huge congratulations to @GordonRamsay and Tana on the news of a new baby on the way!"

Chelsea Handler is anything but conventional.

Ever since she made a name for herself as a standup comedian and host of E!'s Chelsea Lately, Handler has made no apologies for her brash, provocative sense of humor. But after seven seasons of being sandwiched between episodes of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, Handler is reinventing herself and the talk show format with the launch of Chelsea on Netflix on Wednesday, May 11.

Handler's moved on from the whole late-night scene, revealing to ET she doesn't miss the show that made her famous ("That's done") or feel like she missed out on an opportunity to join late-night's boys club on the major networks. She met with CBS in 2014 when the network was looking for someone to replace Craig Ferguson on The Late Late Show, but says she was never close to approaching a deal.

"I was never going to do it from my side," Handler says of the show. (James Corden has since taken over.) "It was of no interest to me to do that. I don't ever want to step into somebody else's job. You know, if I'm in the position to create a job for myself, and create a show from scratch, I'm always going to choose that."

That may be in part why the 41-year-old is ditching her sidekick (sorry, Chuy Bravo), gossip and reality stars, and the five-days-a-week rollout. Instead, Netflix will debut new episodes at 12:01 a.m. PT on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Most notably, Chelsea is more grown up, with Handler focusing her attention on weightier topics such as politics and human interest stories.

In the series' trailer, Handler carries a piñata of Donald Trump through Mexico City, trains with tennis champion Maria Sharapova, and gets into "real" conversations with people on the street (or at the beach). "I'm treating the show like the college education I forgot to get," she announces, promising something entirely different from her previous late-night experience.

Adele has declared she’s got into hip-hop and come up with naughtier lyrics than those by Nicki Minaj.

At a gig in Denmark, the Hello powerhouse was asked to perform Minaj’s hit Monster, as she did in James Corden’s Carpool Karaoke sketch.

But Adele, below, who today turned 28, told the crowd: “I have a rap that I couldn’t possibly rap for you. It’s much dirtier than Nicki’s. It’s very sexual.”

And after forgetting the words to Rolling In The Deep, Adele swore four times in a few seconds.

Adele’s Carpool Karaoke version of Monster has received more than 100 million views on YouTube.

Minaj, 33, below, thought it was amusing and dubbed Adele “mad ratchet”.

Adele’s pal Tinie Tempah, 27, has previously revealed he has heard the singer rap.

After she hung out in the studio while he and Labrinth recorded their song Earthquake, he said she recorded some “really filthy” rap verses.

But he added: “She said if we ever play it to anyone she will sue us.”

Sharon Stone has become a sex symbol for many, especially after her infamous Basic Instinct leg cross. But on Thursday night she enlisted the help of James Corden and The Late Late Show to help her land a date.

In the clip titled "She's Sharon Stone, B***h," Corden raps an original tune about the legendary actress.

"She's a Hollywood icon with a Nobel Prize. She's got a genius brain and bangin' thighs," he raps. "None of her instincts are basic. B***hes better bow down."

Stone herself dances around the British host, wearing fur coats and even a grill. She also chimes in on the rap several times.

"Hollywood is the Matrix, she is the glitch, so what's her name? What's her name?" Corden croons.

"I'm Sharon Stone, b***h," she declares.

CBS
"And when you say, 'I'll text you later,' it better be true. And never ever send a d**k pic," he continues.

"Unless I ask you to," she replies with a wink.

He’s sung with music superstars Adele, Stevie Wonder and Elton John but James Corden was joined by Hollywood acting royalty for his latest Carpool Karaoke.

The British funnyman hit the road with Gwen Stefani as the pair belted out her biggest hits, before they were joined by two surprise back seat passengers – George Clooney and Julia Roberts.

James, Gwen, George and Julia sang Hollaback Girl together before performing their own rendition of We Are The Champions by Queen.

George and Julia, not known for their musical talent, gave a faultless performance as they hit every lyric of Gwen’s song.

And Gravity star George had his own explanation for the song’s words.

“Ain’t No Hollaback means if guys are on a construction site and they’re yelling at a girl, she’s not going to turn back, she’s not that kind of a girl,” George said.

Charlize Theron belched in co-star Emily Blunt's face while filming a scene for The Huntsman: Winter's War.

The 40-year-old actress stars as Ravenna in the fantasy movie, with Emily taking on the role of her sister Queen Freya. The pair donned some incredible ensembles for the film, but the costumes had an unfortunate effect on Charlize in one particular scene.

"This one (Charlize) had to glide towards me during a really intense scene and she went, ‘This is my kingdom, my dominion, (burp).’ It was like the longest burp ever!" Emily laughed during an appearance on The Late Late Show with James Corden on Thursday night (21Apr16). "In the face. It was so funny to me that I could no longer do the scene."

"It was like a throat gurgle," Charlize added. "The problem is you can’t adjust (in the dress). It’s just impossible to digest anything so it just kind of gets stuck. And I tend to eat my food after my close up is done, so I don’t really care about the other actors. It’s usually when I have a tuna and onion sandwich and I’m like (exhale)."

Colleen Atwood was responsible for film's costumes. Charlize added in the interview that wearing one of Colleen's ensembles had a huge effect on her acting skills.

"I mean, we would show up in the morning and rehearse in our sweatpants and Uggs, and then it would be OK," Charlize said. "And then we’d show up in our hair and make-up and wardrobe and everything and all of a sudden it was like great. Like all of a sudden some magic would happen."

James Corden has officially joined Instagram!

On Wednesday, The Late Late Show host debuted his first picture on the popular social media app, which featured a very special celebrity guest and racked up an impressive 21.5K likes within one hour of appearing on his page.

In the photo, Corden poses in a car next to the queen of Instagram herself, Selena Gomez, teasing she'll be a future guest on his hit Carpool Karaoke segment.

"Getting a lift to work with this little chaffinch today!" the 37-year-old talk show host captioned it. "This is my 1st Instagram post!!!!"

And it looks like it's officially happening -- CBS confirmed that the "Hands to Myself" singer's segment will air in late June.

As ET previously reported, Gomez became the most-followed user on Instagram last month, followed closely behind by her bestie, Taylor Swift, and ex-boyfriend, Justin Bieber.

The brunette beauty -- whose account boasts 74.5 million followers -- took to Snapchat to share the exciting news with her fans, simply stating, "Hey guys. I'm officially the number one most followed on Instagram. Thank you!"

Gomez recently sat down with GQ magazine where she candidly talked about growing up in the spotlight.

"I didn't have the opportunity to figure out my life without people having an opinion every step of the way," Gomez, who got her big break while starring as Alex Russo on Disney's Wizards of Waverly Place when she was just 15 years old, explained.

Last week James Corden delivered arguably the best Carpool Karaoke yet when he was joined by superstar Jennifer Lopez and text an unsuspecting Leonardo DiCaprio from her phone.

Oh, y'know, just another casual day in the life of James Corden…

During the hilarious thirteen-minute segment, the Late Late Show presenter text Leo: “Hey baby, I’m kind of feeling like I need to cut loose.

"Any suggestions? Let me know, J.Lo (you know from The Block)”.

Much to everybody’s surprise the Oscar-winning actor immediately wrote back: “You mean tonight, boo boo? Club wise?”

BOO BOO.

Now J-Lo has opened up about the trick and revealed that Leo really didn’t mind being the butt of the joke.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, Jen clarified that she did explain everything to the star after filming had finished, and he couldn’t have been more cool about it.

She shared: “I did have to explain it to him.

"He was a great sport about it…he’s great. He’s a friend and it was nice. He was totally like, ‘Do whatever you want, I don’t care’.”

Ah Leo, we love you more with each day.

One thing we know for sure is that whoever is next in James’ Carpool Karaoke seat has a lot to live up to…

Soulful, free fun! James Corden treated his Late Late Show viewers to another display of his vocal stylings on Monday night with the help of GRAMMY winner Jennifer Hudson.

"Ladies and gentlemen, if there's one thing I love, I love singing well-known songs. And if there's one thing CBS doesn't love, it's me spending money on the rights to those songs," Corden told his audience. "So tonight, we're presenting a medley of some of the hottest public domain songs around."

Hudson then took the stage, declaring, "I love singing public domain songs! I like to take a bath, light some candles, and skip to my Lou."

They pair their broke into a soulful rendition of "Skip to My Lou." They also tackled "London Bridge Is Falling Down" and "If You're Happy and You Know It."

This isn't the first time Corden has tried out this sketch. He has also performed public domain songs with Office alum Craig Robinson and recording artist Josh Groban. It's also not the first time Corden and Hudson have teamed up.
