This year's Love Island finalists were confirmed tonight (July 29) as yet another couple were dumped from the villa.

Last night, the couples were instructed to vote for the pair they thought should be eliminated. Alex and Alexandra received three votes, while Josh and Kaz and Laura and Paul both received one.

That meant all three couples were vulnerable to a public vote – although viewers thought that Alex and Alexandra should have gone because they received the most amount of votes.

Well, it seems they eventually got their wish, because the Alexs did indeed depart tonight.

On leaving so close to the final, Alex said: "I feel like it's been an incredible journey, I have had so many highs and some lows as well. I think at this point and where I've got to and how the journey has been, it's the right time."

Alex admitted that he could have handled things differently with Alexandra, having brutally dumped her after their romantic date. He also revealed that he hopes Jack and Dani go on to win.

Asked about her feelings towards Alex, Alexandra said: "We are really good friends. We do get along so well. We have such a laugh together. He has me on the floor rolling about in fits of laughter. I can only see it moving forward positively, maybe not romantically, but as friends."

Also on tonight's episode, the couples got to meet each other's parents, which was extra awkward for Alex and Alexandra as the only pair who aren't actually together.

With their exit, the finalists consist of Wes and Megan, Laura and Paul, Jack and Dani and Josh and Kaz.

As the only Love Island couple who are actually no longer a couple, it wasn't a great surprise that Alex and Alexandra were voted out of the villa on Sunday's (30 July) show.

For many fans, Alex has a lot of explaining to do – not only did he dump Alexandra for New Laura and come crawling back when things didn't work out, he brutally called it off with Alexandra after their final date.

On Aftersun following his exit (30 July), Alex was given the chance to explain his behaviour.

Explaining why he left Alexandra for New Laura earlier in the series only to ask her for a second chance, he said: "When there's a lot of pressure and things move too quickly, I panic and run away.

"My mechanism of doing that is saying there are too many girls and I'll get together with them. Really I just felt so much pressure.

"I really felt at the recoupling [when I got back together with Alexandra] that I had made a mistake and I should give things a second chance."

It's up to you whether you find that convincing, but for her part Alexandra is ready to forgive Dr Alex.

Even though their relationship didn't end happily, she says she's still glad she gave Alex a second chance.

She said: "I am quite a forgiving person and had I left the villa straight away and not believed in it, I would have regretted it because everyone deserves a second chance to try again.

"I gave him that chance and things didn't work out."

Now the Alexes are gone, the Love Island finalists consist of Wes and Megan, Laura and Paul, Jack and Dani, and Josh and Kaz.

Three couples are at risk of being dumped from Love Island ahead of the show’s final on Monday after they were put up for a public vote by their fellow contestants.

During Friday’s episode of the ITV2 reality show the five remaining pairs were asked to vote privately amongst themselves for the couple they thought should be next to leave the villa.

Alex George and Alexandra Cane received three votes, Kazimir Crossley and Josh Denzel had one and Laura Anderson and Paul Knops also got one vote.

Jack Fincham and Dani Dyer voted for Paul and Laura, and Alex and Alexandra opted for Josh and Kazimir.

Wes Nelson and Megan Barton Hanson, Josh and Kazimir and Paul and Laura all voted for Alex and Alexandra, who had made friends after an acrimonious split on Thursday.

Viewers were then invited to vote in order to save one of the three vulnerable couples. The pair with the fewest votes will be dumped from the show. The result will be revealed on Sunday’s episode.

Wes and Megan and Jack and Danny did not receive any votes and are therefore set to feature in the final where the winners will take home £50,000.

The episode ended with a teaser clip for Sunday’s instalment where the contestants will also get the opportunity to meet their partners’ parents.

Fans were given a glimpse of Dani’s father, EastEnders actor Danny Dyer, speaking to her and Jack via video link.

The Football Factory and Human Traffic star could be heard saying “Where is he?!” in the short clip.

When Dr Alex George entered the Love Island villa, viewers quickly fell for his hapless charm, sensitive soul and his obvious Camilla Thurlow vibe.

Fast forward to today, as the grand final draws ever closer, and the nation has now well and truly turned on Dr Love. Oh hell, indeed.

Just days before Jack Fincham and Dani Dyer are finally crowned this year's Love Island champions, Dr Alex gave Alexandra Cane the (undeserved) boot.

Far from simply taking Alexandra's side, viewers actively turned on Dr Alex in their droves, with many suggesting the couple should win so Alexandra can nab the £50k jackpot for herself.

This isn't just an example of reality TV villainy, though – Dr Alex has sparked proper outrage. Even Paul Chuckle has had a go, for god's sake.

"Doc Alex is behaving like a real ... you know what!!" the Chuckle Brothers fumed, while the likes of ex-Islander Gabby Allen and Stacey Solomon tweeted their support for Alexandra.

Others called out Dr Alex for his actions in much stronger terms, with some even calling his behaviour "toxic" and "manipulative".

"Alex coupled up with Alexandra to stay on the show. Didn't once take into consideration her feelings. Just thinking about himself & not the consequences of his actions," another agreed.

One fan suggested he would be better suited to a different reality show, writing: "Alex recoupled up with Alexandra to keep his place in the villa, not taking her feelings into consideration at all, leading her on for his own personal gain. Alex is a certified wasteman, should've just applied for 24 Hours in A&E." (Ouch.)

Dani Dyer has said her soap star father will love meeting her Love Island beau Jack Fincham.

As the final of the ITV2 reality series approaches, the couple discuss their future outside of the villa.

In scenes that will air on Thursday’s episode, the couple are woken up early in the morning for a hot air ballooning date.

As they admire the views, Jack tells Dani: “I’m genuinely looking forward to the stuff we’re going to be doing when we’re back home.

“Do you know what I mean? Obviously you’ll meet my mum. You’ll actually meet my mum, she’s going to be so excited.”

Dani replies: “Usually a boy’s scared to meet the dad. I’d be scared to meet my mum, Jack. She’s hard.

“Honestly my family are going to love meeting you, I promise you.”

The format of the show usually involves the families of contestants visiting the villa in the final week.

As the couple enjoy a picnic on the grass after the ride, they discuss the challenges they will face after the show.

Jack tells her: “I think one of them’s just going to be being away from each other. I can ring you.”

But they realise an immediate stumbling block when Dani points out he does not have her number.

The stationery salesman also works up the courage to ask his girlfriend a big question, saying: “I’ve got something I want to ask you. I just think this would be amazing. Obviously it’s the next logical step for us.”

Fans will have to wait until the episode airs before they learn what his question is but when they return from the villa, Jack tells the boys: “It was unbelievable. It was so sick. It was nice thinking about future stuff, rather than what’s happening right now.

“For me I was just sort of thinking about what the next step would be for us.”

Discussing what he asked Dani, he says: “I’m at that stage in my life now where I want to do that now.”

Things go less smoothly for doctor Alex George and make-up artist Alexandra Cane when they go out on their date in a red Ferrari.

While Alexandra is delighted by the progress she thinks they are making in their relationship, Alex continues to have doubts about their future.

She tells him: “I’m really looking forward to meeting your friends, your family, and just kind of seeing how our lives will merge together.

“I think that’s really exciting. I definitely feel like we just need to go outside and have some fun and just be ourselves. I’m so excited to get on the outside with you.”

However, Alex later tells Jack: “We just don’t seem to… it doesn’t seem to feel right. I don’t have the right feelings that I should be.

“The thing is she wants to move at quite a quick pace. She wants lots of affection, and she wants things to move quite quickly. I just can’t match that. I feel like things just aren’t quite right with us.”

Thousands of Love Island fans could lose access to ITV2 days before the grand final due to a dispute between Virgin Media and ITV.

Four million paying customers are at risk of losing the ITV slate of channels as the dispute between the companies threatens to reach a new level, according to The Guardian.

While the future of flagship channel ITV is unclear, it is thought that channels like ITV2, 3 and 4 – which house sporting coverage – could be pulled from the guide as early as this weekend.

And with the talk of the summer set to conclude on Monday with a live final, thousands of fans may be forced to skip out on watching Caroline Flack crown the winners of Love Island 2018.

Four sources have confirmed to the publication that an “ultimatum” letter has been sent to Virgin Media by ITV outlining the potential next steps.

The dispute was put on the backburner for some months while Carolyn McCall took the reins at the network.

But it is thought that Virgin Media’s decision to axe the entire UKTV portfolio from their service last weekend has provided ITV an opportunity to “apply pressure”.

On Sunday, the slate including free-to-air channels Dave and Drama and paid-for channels such as Gold were cut from the guide after talks reached a stalemate.

The two media companies have been at loggerheads for some time now but it is understood that talks broke down on Saturday, leading to Virgin Media’s decision.

A spokesperson for Virgin told The Guardian: "All ITV channels remain live on Virgin TV and we have no intention of removing them."

ITV declined to comment when contacted.

With the drama in Majorca reaching fever pitch, Dani and Jack are the current favourites to take home the £50,000, but Josh and Kaz are hot on their tails .

During the 95-minute show on Monday, the loved-up couples will hope to come top of the public vote and be crowned as the winning couple, scooping the cash prize.

However, the top boy and girl will then face one more test of their relationship with the option to split or steal the prize pot.

If both chose split, it is £25,000 each. If one chooses to keep all the cash for themselves, they walk away with the whole lot. If they both want to keep the jackpot to themselves then we assume both would go home empty handed.

Love Island’s Alex George has called time on his relationship with Alexandra Cane.

The doctor ended their brief romance after the pair went on their final date of the ITV2 dating series and he appeared more interested in the Ferrari he was driving than her.

Their split came as frontrunners Dani Dyer and Jack Fincham decided to take their relationship to the next level and committed to moving in together.

The stationery salesman popped the question to the daughter of soap star Danny Dyer while they were on a romantic hot air balloon ride.

He told her that moving in together was the “logical next step” after the pair fell in love in the villa.

However, she told him: “I feel like you’re quite distant with me. I know we are in the villa with people in more intense relationships but I go from thinking we are great to not sure.

He told her: “We have really given this a good go but for me the level of what you want for affection are different to mine.

“It’s been two weeks and I feel I’m not at that level.

“I really wanted to give things a second try and see how things would be but over the last couple of days I’ve felt that we are just different.”

Alexandra retorted: “It’s confusing for me, how you have continued to let me believe there is still a chance.

“You are trying to come across as a super nice guy who knows what he wants but you haven’t been honest with me.

“You’ve not tried, I’ve tried, you haven’t.

“You don’t make any effort. You’re distant at every opportunity you can.

“I think you’ve led me along this path when you’ve been lying this whole time.

Call Laurence Llewyn-Bowen, find a day for the IKEA delivery and send out the house warming invites because Jack has asked Dani to move in with him.

Essex’s answer to Deirdre and Ken Barlow made their relationship official weeks before Dr Alex learned how to talk to a woman, and have confessed their love for each other more times than Georgia claimed to be “loyal”.

And now they’ve taken the logical the step any couple would take after knowing each other for less than a month by agreeing to move in when they leave the Love Island villa.

Jack took the plunge as the pair enjoyed an early morning hot air balloon ride over Mallorca to watch the sunset – something Dani has never seen despite living on earth for 22 years.

Putting forward his pitch the pen salesman said: “I haven’t loved anyone like this before. You’re that girl that’s changed me. I’ve got something I want to ask you. This will be amazing. Will you move in with me?”

Dani replied: “Of course I will. I love you.”

Speaking in the Beach Hut she later said: “It was so romantic I’ve never seen a sunrise. For a boy to look at a future with me and want a future with me I’ve always, always wanted it.”

Unfortunately the feelings weren’t mutual for Dr Alex and Alexandra who appeared to be on two completely different dates despite being in the same Ferrari.

Their consultation, we mean date, was predictably over shadowed by the medic’s preference for cars over Alexandra.

He fired up the engine but failed to ignite any feelings for the make-up artist, despite her telling him: “I love a guy who is passionate about things and you’re so passionate about cars. It’s really attractive.”

Trying her hardest, for reasons we cannot fathom, to make him like her she continued: “I feel like we need to go out and have some fun. I’ve felt a bit hesitant in here about you not wanting to move too fast. Are you going to be able to give a bit more?”

Proving himself to be the uninterested man we knew he was he replied: “I hope so.”

But things went from bad to worse after it became apparent the sunburnt medic wouldn’t be the only person returning to A&E after the show, but Alexandra too who is in desperate need of a remedy to fix her broken heart.

Pulling her aside after their date to break things off, even after she wore a red dress to match his red Ferrari, he said: “We’ve given this a really good go but what you want is quite different from mine. It’s been two weeks but I feel like I’m not at that level.”

Alexandra replied: “How have you let me believe there is a chance?”

Attempting to defend himself Alex lied: “I wanted to give things a second try.”

Finally calling him out on his nice-guy act Alexandra shot him down: “I don’t think you did. You’re trying to come across as this super nice guy.”

Yes!

“You haven’t been honest with me. You’ve not tried – I’ve tried.”

Finally!

“I think you’re pathetic. You’re absolutely pathetic. You’ve wasted my time and your own. Shame on you.”

Thank you and goodnight.

They've made their romance official, they've confessed their love for one another - and now Jack has a huge question for Dani.

Love Island’s resident sweethearts could be set to take their relationship to the next level as they gear up to trade sunny Mallorca for a suffocating swarm of heat in England.

In scenes to air tonight, the couple head out on their final date at sunrise - which incredibly Dani has never seen before.

Pouring out their heart and soul after a romantic hot-air balloon trip, Jack gets emotional about his time in the villa.

He says: “There was no way in hell that I was ever going to [have my head turned in Casa Amor] I missed you, I was like a lovesick puppy.

“I wasn’t eating properly. Alex was worried about me. I just missed you. That’s when I realised I loved you. That’s why I told you when I came back.

“I’m genuinely looking forward to the stuff we’re going to be doing when we’re back home. Do you know what I mean. Obviously you’ll meet my mum. You’ll actually meet my mum, she’s going to be so excited.”

Dani jokes that most of her previous boyfriends have been scared to meet her hard man dad Danny Dyer, when really they should be scared of her mum.

She says: “Usually a boy’s scared to meet the Dad. I’d be scared to meet my mum, Jack. She’s hard. Honestly my family are going to love meeting you I promise you.”

After coming to the realisation that despite being madly in love neither have each-others numbers Jack reveals he has a question to ask.

He explains: “I’ve got something I want to ask you. I just think this would be amazing. Obviously it’s the next logical step for us...”

Teasing her response, Dani says: "I’m at that stage in my life now where I want to do that now.”

Could Jack be about to pop the BIG question…asking Dani to move in? Or is marriage on the cards?

Just when we thought we were on the home stretch to the Love Island final, the bombshells have all come and gone, and the remaining couples were all happily loved-up – we've heard some terrible news from the villa.

It looks as though one of the final couples has admitted that things aren't quite right. WE KNOW.

In scenes that are due to air tonight (July 26), Dr Alex George and Alexandra Cane will be sent on a very lavish date.

At first, Alex is super excited. Not because the lady on his arm is HOT AF, but because there are cars. Fast cars.

"This is absolutely mental, isn't it? I'm in a beautiful car with an even more beautiful girl," he tells girl Alex, having been presented with a red Ferrari. "This is perfect."

And, as if our crush on Alexandra couldn't get any deeper, she finds his whole reaction endearing. "I have to be honest and say I absolutely love a guy that's really passionate about something. And I know you're so passionate about cars. It's incredibly attractive," she says.

Discussing their possible future together, Alexandra tells him: "I'm really looking forward to meeting your friends, your family, and just kind of seeing how our lives will merge together. I think that's really exciting. I definitely feel like we just need to go outside and have some fun and just be ourselves. I'm so excited to get on the outside with you."

Having also revealed her concerns around his lack of affection towards her, Alex admits: "It's not always easy. I think other couples are trying to rush. I think we're moving at what's comfortable for us. I'm happy with that. I think slow and steady wins the race sometimes."

But things look to go even further south when they arrive back to the villa.

Taking the girls aside for a debrief, Alexandra tells them: "It was the most amazing date. I was like, 'This is really sexy'. He actually was in his element. We've had such a nice day. You see glimpses of how it could be on the outside, and I think today's been really refreshing for the both of us."

Alex, on the other hand, pulls Jack Fincham aside and drops a bit of a bombshell.

"We just don't seem to... it doesn't seem to feel right. I don't have the right feelings that I should," he says. "The thing is, she wants to move at quite a quick pace. She wants lots of affection, and she wants things to move quite quickly. I just can't match that. I feel like things just aren't quite right with us."

Er, were they both on the same date?

Jack tells his pal that he's "surprised" by the news, and urges him to give things another go.

To make things a little awkward, Alexandra later approaches Jack for some man advice.

In the Beach Hut, Jack says: "I know more about their relationship than them two do as a whole. I know exactly how Alexandra's feeling, Alex doesn't, and I know exactly how Alex is feeling but Alexandra doesn't. What do you do?"

Is this the end of Alex Squared?

Considering we've spent an hour every evening for the last eight weeks (that's over TWO FULL DAYS) watching Love Island, it's fair to say we know the Islanders pretty well.

Which is why it's so hilarious that viewers are only just noticing something funny about Josh Denzel's tattoo. It, er, sometimes looks a bit rude:

One fan wrote, "@LoveIsland is it just me or does josh's tattoo look like a hand holding a penis #justsaying", while another added, "Josh has a tattoo on the back of his arm that looks like a penis and it cracks me up every time #loveisland".

A third simply asked, "What has Josh got on his arm?!?"

The actual inking is in fact of Saint Christopher – the patron saint of travellers, athletes and sports – walking through the Nile carrying a child, and can be seen clearly in Josh's pictures from before he headed into the villa.

Fans of ITV2 reality show Love Island have voiced their disappointment that Jack Fowler has been dumped from the villa after he excelled in the parenting challenge.

During Wednesday’s episode the contestants were tasked with taking care of plastic baby dolls in their couples. Jack and his partner Laura Crane won the challenge as they were deemed the pair that best looked after their baby Aubrey.

However, it was not enough to save the couple as they were later eliminated from the show after finishing bottom of a public vote.

Wes Nelson and Megan Barton Hanson and Josh Denzel and Kazimir Crossley were both at risk after being in the bottom three but it was ultimately Jack and Laura who were left to pack their bags.

One viewer suggested on social media that had the vote been held after the parenting challenge Jack and Laura may have survived, based on Jack’s enthusiastic embrace of fatherhood.

They wrote: “If only the vote was tonight new Jack would of definitely got them votes in.”

Viewers also picked up an unknowing reference Dani Dyer made to Canadian rapper Drake’s number one single In My Feelings.

Dani and her partner Jack Fincham called their plastic baby Kimberley Flo Fincham, or ‘Kiki’ for short.

Drake’s song begins with the lyrics “Kiki do you love me?” The song was released after the contestants entered the villa.

One Twitter user wrote: “Waiting for Jack and Dani to start singing ‘Kiki do you love me’ after naming their baby but remembering they haven’t even heard the Drake song yet (crying emoji).”

Tonight's episode of Love Island (July 25) saw its number of couples drop from six to five after another shock dumping from the villa.

The contestants were celebrating completing this year's baby challenge – each couple was given a fake plastic baby to tend to – when texts rang around the group, notifying them of another elimination.

Wes and Megan were the first couple declared unsafe from dumping, followed by Josh and Kaz and then new Jack and Laura.

After an inane amount of pausing for dramatic effect, it was announced that new Jack and Laura had the least amount votes and would be leaving the villa.

This came as a surprise to some viewers, especially considering the pair had been crowned the best parents in the baby challenge.

New Jack in particular took the baby challenge incredibly seriously, convincing both the Islanders and viewers that he'd make a great dad.

Relishing the challenge, he said: "I love the fact that there's loads of babies around. Obviously they're crying a lot, as babies do, they need to be changed, they need to be fed, but that's what it's all about."

Unfortunately for him and Laura, their heroic parenting antics have come too late in the day to save them from dumping.

While the pair were dumped from the villa, they've been going strong since... maybe a little too strong in fact, as they're already talking about marriage and kids. Crikey.

"We're going to get married. We are going to get married," Ellie told The Sun. "We've had one drunken talk about engagement – he said he doesn't believe in marriage and I was like, 'What?'"

Charlie, on the other hand, added: "I'm not into the whole marriage thing. If you're going to be with someone, be with someone – you don't need a piece of paper. But I'd have no issues having a baby before we get married."

Ellie continued: "He goes so soppy when he's had a drink, he's like, 'I love you so much'. He actually wants a baby, he talks about it all the time! You do! Every time you have alcohol, you're like, 'You're going to have my babies'."

Charlie admitted that he did want to become a "younger dad", but "not now" – so watch this space.

The pair have met each other's families, and have revealed why they moved in together so fast after leaving Love Island, explaining that Ellie stayed at Charlie's apartment and never left.

"It sounds a lot but remember, we've lived in a villa, with 12 other people, trying to test your relationship," Ellie said. "Us living together now is the easiest thing in the world, it's so easy."

From Digital Spy

We're days away from the Love Island final, and Megan Barton Hanson is still in the villa. Despite a number of Twitter campaigns to "get her out", she's still going strong (even if that is down to Wes Nelson's decision to save her).

A large number of viewers seem to have forgotten the all-important conversation surrounding the dangers of social media trolling – and the lessons that should have been learnt from Sophie Gradon's passing. There's been a narrative around Megan that veers into the realms of sexism and slut-shaming, poking fun at her cosmetic procedures and branding her a "praying mantis" for her behaviour towards the lads.

At just 24 years old, this Love Island contestant has shown clear signs of a young woman who doesn't quite know who she is, what she wants or where she fits in. A self-confessed "shy" girl, she arguably latched onto any attention that was thrown her way – a sign, in our humble opinion, of someone who's had their confidence knocked more than once in the past.

She may look like a classic pin-up, a total babe and a model who's been known to take her clothes off, but that doesn't make her fair game in the court of public opinion.

We can't help but be reminded of Jessica Hayes from Love Island 2015. She too found herself to be the underdog; a Page 3 model who, by her own admission, was often judged for the work that she did, Jess coupled up with a few different fellas during her time on the show. Like Megan, she was also criticised on the outside for her "flirty" ways – hands up who remembers that controversial date with the Italian twins?

Mirroring the current series, Jess was also up against a couple who had been together from day one – Jack Fincham and Dani Dyer are basically this year's Jon Clark and Hannah Elizabeth. Everyone thought that it was a done deal that Jon and Hannah would be crowned the '15 winners – they even got engaged on the show, for goodness sake.

But it was Jess who ultimately won the nation over, going from one of the most hated contestants to the most loved. Why? Because everyone wants to see a phoenix rise from the ashes.

Like Jess, Megan has gone through a journey on the show. Facing up to her insecurities, she's opened up about her concerns regarding her past and how people might judge her. Having previously claimed that she's "never had female friends", she's also learnt what it means to have the support of close girl relationships.

And she's done all of this in full view of the cameras, taking viewers along for the ride and imparting valuable lessons about judging someone on their looks or vocation of choice.

Yes, she has made mistakes – we're sure that everyone is in agreement that the whole Wes and Laura Anderson triangle could have been handled better. But that just makes her all the more relatable, right?

Megan has not only started to find herself on the show, but she's found her "love" in Wes – and that's what the show is all about, right?

There's two things that every Love Island fan has been waiting to see: the "meet the parents" episode, and the baby task.

Whilst Danny Dyer has pretty much scuppered any hopes for him landing in the villa any time soon, we do have some exciting news for you ahead of tonight's (July 25) episode.

The islanders will wake up to the sound of screeching babies (for those of you that aren't aware of this rite of passage, they're dolls not actual tiny humans), as the infamous task begins.

Yup, our favourite reality TV couplings will become parents for the day as they're tasked with looking after their very own offspring.

Dani Dyer seems particularly excited by the idea of a mini-Fincham, telling him: "Let's go and see our baby, we made a baby!"

The loved-up pair, who have just put a nasty lie detector-fuelled argument behind them, decide to name their daughter Kimberley Flo Fincham. Bless.

As is tradition, the girls are sent out of the villa for some R&R (with a side helping of gossip, naturally), whilst the boys are instructed to stay home and look after the babies.

"The DBS Society has become The Daddy Daycare Society," Wes Nelson says.

Away from the villa, the girls discuss how their partners are interacting with their sons and daughters.

"It's attractive to see that sensitive side of guys, you don't normally see it," explains Megan. "Wes is so natural with her, I'm like, 'Oh my God, you're so cute, look at you.'"

#Jani fans will be pleased to know that the arrival of little Kimberley seems to have brought them closer together again.

Speaking in the Beach Hut, Dani says: "He's brilliant with her. I feel like I love him more. I can't believe it. He really loves that baby. This morning, he wasn't warming to her as much as I wanted him to, and now he doesn't leave her alone. He really loves her."

The whole thing seems to have Jack Fincham thinking about their future outside of the villa too, as he tells Dani: "This is actually like being in the future. I'm sorry, this is actually like being in the actual future. Mate, I can't wait to take her down the park and that. Strolling through the park."

When she asks him if he would want a baby with her, he replies: "Yeah, I said that already. Not now, maybe when I'm about 30-odd. I think we're going to be really good parents, don't you?"

The Love Island contestants will be tested with crying babies, dirty nappies and babysitting duties when the parenting task returns to the villa.

The islanders will be woken by a chorus of screams from the six baby dolls they must take care of in their couples, in scenes that will be shown in Wednesday’s episode.

The pairs set about naming their temporary offspring, with Megan Barton Hanson and Wes Nelson calling their baby Mia Ruby Nelson.

Paul Knops and Laura Anderson name their daughter Arabella Knops, Alex George and Alexandra Cane opt for Ella Louise George, Jack Fowler and Laura Crane choose Aubrey Crane Fowler and Josh Denzel and Kazimir Crossley go for Prince Kavana Joshua Denzel.

Dani Dyer and Jack Fincham name their child Kimberley Flo Fincham.

But parenting does not come easily to all the contestants, with Josh and Megan struggling to cope with the responsibility.

Speaking in the Beach Hut, Josh complains: “How have I got a headache already? I’ve not had one headache since I’ve been here.

“A baby comes along and I’ve got a booming headache. Keep the babies as far away from me as possible, especially when they cry.”

Megan adds: “I did not expect parenthood to be this hard. I can barely look after myself at 24, let alone a new-born baby.”

Wes is indignant when the girls are told they are leaving the villa for an afternoon out and the boys will look after the babies.

He says: “I have put my heart and soul into baby Mia. And they’ve been rewarded, what have I done wrong?”

With the girls away, he renames the Do Bits Society the Daddy Daycare Society.

With her boyfriend embracing fatherhood, Megan says she has seen a different aspect to Wes.

She says: “It’s attractive to see that sensitive side of guys, you don’t normally see it. Wes is so natural with her, I’m like, ‘oh my God, you’re so cute, look at you’.”

However Kaz is angry that Josh has failed to make an effort with the doll.

She tells the girls: “Since the day little Prince came into my life, Josh gave him his name, dressed him and then ran a mile. I’ve been looking after the baby all day. There’s no father bond there.”

But the task gives Jack a sense of his prospects with Dani, as he tells her: “This is actually like being in the future. I’m sorry, this is actually like being in the actual future. Mate, I can’t wait to take her down the park and that. Strolling through the park.

“When I’ve actually got a kid, I want to be a really fun parent. I want to do so much fun stuff. They’re never going to want for anything. We’re going to be proper stable.

“They’re always going to have what they want. I want them to be so polite. I think being polite’s so important.”

Dani replies that she wants her relationship with her children to be like the one she has with her own mother.

She says: “I want her to just be able to tell me everything. How I am with my mum. I want her to be able to do whatever she’s done, be able to confide in me, and for me to always be able to give her the right advice. My mum is strict. And she’s like my best mate.”

Love Island continues on ITV2 at 9pm.
