The MTV Movie Awards tend to deliver a good share of gaffes (“Catching Fires" — yeah, we heard that one, Cameron Diaz) and guffaws, like Mark Wahlberg’s rambling acceptance speech for the show’s Generation Award, but aside from a few brow-lifting moments, this year’s fête was a bit of a snooze compared to past shows.
