Justin Bieber needs to work on his international relations.
On siesta in Mexico with gal pal Hailey Baldwin, the “Purpose” singer went sightseeing on Thursday and managed to get himself into some trouble. (Imagine that!) He’s staying on the Yucatán Peninsula, which separates the Gulf of Mexico and the Caribbean Sea, and visited the ancient Mayan city of Tulum on Thursday. While there, he and his entourage became engaged in a verbal altercation with caretakers of the site because the star attempted to climb a structure in the ruins that is not open to the public, according to local news reports.
Police were called to the scene, but intervention was unnecessary because tempers had cooled by then. However, the Biebs wasn’t able to complete his tour and was escorted from the premises. On his way out with Baldwin, he smiled and waved at a cameraperson capturing footage of him.
Yahoo has not yet received a comment from his camp, but he did take to Twitter to post this:
