Amitabh Bachchan had loved the commercially successful Queen, the directorial piece of filmmaker Vikas Bahl which had Kangana Ranaut playing the main protagonist. And now, it’s heard that the living legend is all set to work with Vikas for yet one more father-daughter project. The actor to play his daughter is still not finalised.
According to sources, when Vikas, whose Shahid-Alia-starrer, Shaandaar, failed to elicit hearty response, went with the subject to Bachchan, the actor gave a nod immediately. Vikas had recently remarked in jest when asked what next from him, “Now who will work with me?” But looks like the director will soon bounce back as he has a very powerful talent backing him.
But one wonders when would Big B find time for Vikas’s film as his diary is choc-o-block full this year. By his own admission, Bachchan will be completing Sujoy Ghosh’s Te3n this month and move on to Shoojit Sircar’s social thriller which will be shot in Delhi and after which he will get busy filming Aankhen 2 to be directed by Anees Bazmee. And at the end of this year he has Shoojit-directed romantic drama. But yes, Bachchan recently did mention one more film to roll post Aankhen 2, but he was tight-lipped about it. “I can’t talk about it now,” he’d said. Perhaps, he’s referring to the same father-daughter subject with Vikas. Both, the actor and director were not available for comments. Well, we will know soon.
