HBO's new rock drama Vinyl premieres on 14 February and Oscar-winning director Martin Scorsese confirmed that he will be involved with the series throughout season 1. The show is based on the world of the rock and roll music industry in 1970s New York City.
Scorsese, who attended the Television Critics Association winter press tour on 7 January, said, "I've already in the first season been even more involved in these episodes and all stages of production. I'll continue working with the music. This is something that's very natural to me — and very close to my heart. I hope I can work out the time to direct a few more."
Martin Scorsese directed the pilot episode and is the executive producer alongside Mick Jagger and Terence Winter.
