Prattes is a singer, dancer, and actor who first gained attention for his dance skills in P!nk's music video, "Try." He also performed with the singer at the 2014 Grammy Awards and American Music Awards and on her The Truth About Love Tour.
Like Swayze, Prattes also fits the hot body requirement for the leading role. He frequently posts photos on his Instagram account that show off his impressively fit physique.
Prattes joins previously announced lead Abigail Breslin who will be learning how to shimmy and shake as Frances "Baby" Houseman, Johnny's novice dance partner.
"I'm really excited," Breslin recently gushed to ET earlier this month. "I'm stoked for it."
The Scream Queens star has just starting her dance rehearsals to play for the the TV musical, and she even admitted that, at this point, she's not the "most coordinated person" on the dance floor. "But, you know, my character isn't in the beginning either, so it's really exciting," she added.
