Beyond the maze, Thomas and his group of friends find themselves in the Scorch – and it’s no fun at all.
Thomas struggles with “a lot of guilt” in Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials, according to actor Dylan O’Brien.

The sequel to 2014′s The Maze Runner, based on the novels of James Dashner, tells the story of what happens when Thomas and his group of friends escape the maze – and learn that the world outside its world may not be the idyllic freedom they had hoped for.

Dylan said: “For Thomas it’s a lot of guilt. A lot of questioning himself and trying to pocket that and stay strong in his beliefs, most importantly.

“He still wants to protect everyone and he can’t handle the idea of losing anyone else.”
