But three-time TV King Wayne Lai has gone even further with a different kind of threat when asked what he would do if his new drama, "Short End of the Stick", has a ratings point lower than 20, saying, "I will quit!"
According to On CC News, the actor, who appeared at the drama promotional event held in Tseung Kwan O recently, stated that he is not worried about the expected fall in the ratings since the new drama will be making its premiere in the Lunar New Year season.
"You can watch it if you want, and you don't have to if you don't want to," he said.
Wayne stated that he expected the ratings would fall during the holidays, as long as it would not dip below 20 points.
"[If that happens], I will quit," Wayne laughed. "I will take the blame and I will resign. You can cancel my contract!"
